What do you like better Laptops or Desktops for personal use

With laptops getting faster and faster people are starting to buy them more than desktops. Also the fact that a basic laptop now is getting cheaper, that helps too.

Yet desktops are faster than laptops and the parts are cheaper. They are also easier to repair but they are not portable.

    What do you like better?

Never mind about the speed, I'll still stick to laptops no matter what. Mobility is more important that anything else.

I prefer latops. I don't play games, so I don't the latest hardware + I don't like sitting on a chair in front of the desktop PC - I prefer to move it wherever I want :)

Amm, both are important from their respective point of views but everyone should admit that laptops can never take over desktops in terms of performance (if you don't consider the mobile feature of laptops, only then)

I use both, but I spend most of the time on Desktop because of the configuration. The desktop is more faster than my laptop because of big RAM and Hard disk space.

I use both but i would say that 70% is Desktop use as they are much faster in my opinion and the rest is the laptop the biggest advantage with that is that being wireless and having a Lexmark wifi printer you can use it anyware within the range of the access point.

I prefer to work with desktops when at home but would like to carry the notebook while on travel. While desktop provides comfort, notebooks help in mobility. So, have both and enjoy :D

I switched away from a desktop about three years ago, and have not looked back. I travel constantly and it was too difficult to run a business with only some of my data with me.

On my latest laptop, and it is a lot faster than any desktop I have even used.

i like desktop. here we don;t have good internet service in wireless. there is many companies who serve wireless service but all sucks. getting around 150kbps speed. if we want to download any file 1mb take 2 min to download. but internet service through dsl is good.

Laptops. My laptop is about the same speed as my computer, but it takes up MUCH LESS space. And it's compact and easy to move around. I can bring it on front of my TV and do my stuff at the same time :)
