You can turn your paper book into an ebook and vice versa. Ebook is the way of the future. Printing books costs trees. Use ebook and save trees.
Yeah, that's the good thing about ebooks. Low cost etc. But this wasn't really the question... the question was that the problem with ebooks is the negative connotation which is associated with it.
Books and ebooks are just the same in providing readers something to read. Their only difference is ebooks can only be read while you're using a computer.
I'm with you copper12... READ THE QUESTION GUYS. Don't just post for the sake of inflating your post counts... yes I do know that ebooks are diigtal and books are physical. I'm talking about the connotations associated with them. If you dont know what that means do a search on dictionary.com
Ebooks are more easy to publish than paper books. Ebooks are more easy to pirate, but many of the ebooks cost lots of money and many ebook sellers are scammers.
I understand what you are saying, and theoretically there is no difference between the two, but the reason people have a low estimation of ebooks: 1) every piece of crap that is longer than 1 page is called an ebook...If you can doublespace, add pictures, and put it in 14 point font and get to 10 pages it is called a ebook. I have seen 30 page ebooks that had 1 page worth of information. 2) many of the ebooks out there are either sales pieces or overpriced. Some of these are good, but many are not. 3) Folks think that it is more difficult to get a paperback publicshed than a ebook. 4) Folks want to hold the book in their hands. And they don't want to necessarily hold a computer printout witha staple in it.
Ebook is most effective way to read, learn & have instant redirection to websites in a second. It is also fastest source for getting link popularity & other SEO Purposes!
its not wierd but very logical. you need a publisher to publish a book (unless you own your own printing and distribution company). with eBook, anyone can wtire up anything and call it eBook.
Personally I've read a lot of ebooks, and although some of them are junk, a lot of them are really good. I'm actually writing a series of ebooks at the moment, and so far I've re-read it about three times and I'm still correcting it, purely because I'm going for quality. May sound big headed, but I'm a good writer, and I would hate for people not to buy my book because of the negative image that some writers have given to ebooks.
There is nothing like reading a book. I would preffer to buy a good high quality book, rather than paying for an e-book that might be useless, or just would sit inside my computer without any use. There so many good books out there.... If something is worth reading, I think the general thought is that it would be published on paper... SO go and read something... Adi
Agree. That's the "perceived value"... although in reality its super easy to get a book published (I'm a 15 year old and I've already got my book published by a New York publisher )
