Page was #2-3 in Google, now vanished

I posted a negative review of a somewhat obscure company on my blog (not a household name). Within a day, the post was #2 or #3 on Google, likely because so much of the content used this company's name.

Instantly I had people finding the post and linking to it. There are more than a few people out there who want to see if others had the same bad experience.

    This was just last week.

Yesterday, the page vanished from Google. It's not even in the first 100 results. It went from the top to completely out of sight.

    How could this happen?

    Thanks.

The sudden increase in links may have flagged your website. It very well may come back!

It may be normal do n't worry about it

My site would vanish from the top 100 for 2-5 days then would come again.. it was pretty common once in 3 months..

is your blog hosted on your own domain or hosted by the blog service provider? It could be an issue to do with other aspects of your domain, how are your other pages doing?

It's possible that the company reported your pages as hate / spam content and google took them out. But like others I am more inclined to think that it's just google dance and your post will come back.

I think you can just sit back and wait for a few weeks first. It may not be your problem.

New pages typically get some sort of initial SERPs boost, then drop 30-90 positions as the rankings settle down again.

Just wait for few days. If it is new then it happens. Try to links from the relevant websites.
