Most forums that have high PR are FILLED with threads with no PR at all... forum postings (sigs or posted links) are not and should not be used for PR, to think that they will help is just silly... HOWEVER, forum posts can help in other ways then PR. SERP for one. Look up the three automotive links in my sig. All three hold one of the top three SERP. Now tell me that my 3k++ posts are not helping with that? There is also the matter of HUMAN traffic, which in the end is what it is all truly about. If you post something that is worth reading and follow that with a sig link that is related to what is said, you'll find that people do click through looking for more information... Remember, it's all about the HUMAN traffic at the end of the day not about some silly green bar on your browser that 85% of the people that see it don't even understand.
i think it does help ... cause i have a blog started at sep, done nothing with backlink, seo or anything other then this forum and another forum signature link, then my site become pr 1 during recent google PR update (after one month of updating my blog) , the best thing is my site don't have article, most of it is photo + gallery ..... Check it out JapChick signature
Yes..! Forum Signatures are good and if we add links to Do Follow Blogs and Groups they are also good. But i have some questions that if we add links in groups or communities in Social Networks are they Do Follow or Not ?
Like what? People have already posted possible perks concerning SEO, SERP, and PR, as well as human traffic. There is not a lot left, unless I am overlooking something.
