I wanted to buy a domain but it is already taken, is there anyway to get this domain without it expiring? Right now it is just an unused domain with a landing page, at the bottom it says, "This domain is for sale" and gives the email domaincontact @ rediff.com however I emailed but got no response, any suggestions?
You can find contact info about the person that owns the site on godaddy.com. They usually list more than their e-mail there, such as a phone number or address you can mail a letter to.
Usually if the domain has "for sale" on the landing page it will also be listed for sale at one of the brokerages. You might check these to see. Afternic.com Sedo.com Buydomains.com Snapnames.com TDNAM.com good luck
When I do a WHOIS this is all it gives me: Registrant: Private Whois Escrow Domains Private Limited. PRIVATE WHOIS FOR 001P30250108-44 (001P30250108-44@privatewhois.in) 707,C-Wing,7th Floor,The Neptune Versova Society, Lokhandwala Complex,4th Cross Road, Andheri (West) Mumbai Maharashtra,400053 IN Tel. +91.02226300138 Fax. +91.02226311820 It's private so I can't really contact, GoDaddy's $59.99 per domain name + commission which is kind of expensive..
Pretty strange to hide behind private registration but leave the email on the landing page. Using a certified offer service is tricky. If the offer is too low the owner won't respond. Sometimes if the offer is in the right neighborhood the owner will think the buyer has deep pockets and try to break the bank. If you want, you can pm the domain and I'll see if I can track down the owner
And that doesn't make any sense, why does the hyperlink say, "This domain is for sale" but has an outlook email to ???
Use Whois.sc which usually gives better contact information, even if the domain is set to privacy status - http://www.Whois.sc
