I really like urs se_p800..I love the simplicity of it, and u're the only 1 that actually went with the template color scheme..but can u do something with the text, put a lil design in it, and may be make it a bit bolder..
Hi, i wanted to know if you wanted a logo or if the name "Arcade Lot" could be the logo itself.. Heres my try: Thanks, fuser
Yes i would like to point out got this joy stick icon from a pack of 2000 PNG icons, which looks like it originated form the website tightwad posted, which it states are free.
I doubt they'll be a problem (copyright) since they are "free" Icons, just most designers create their own work and post it here.
Hmm ok I see. Well as long as the OP is well aware of this then there should be no problem. But I mean to what extent are you right? Check out his current banner, im sure whoever made that didnt create the PS2 controller, and people don't create the fonts they use, and I also hazard a guess the guy who made this didn't take the picture of the rubics cube himself, but find it on google: perhaps I am over exaggerating..but do you see what I mean? I guess in future i will try to make everything from scratch..I am only doing this for a hobby to be honest anyway. If i win great, if not, no biggy
People can buy royalty free images to use for banners, and the same goes for fonts. Once you buy a font it's you're to use however you see fit you are just not permitted to resell the font.
So should then the same not apply to free items? Since its free you are allowed to use it as you see fit? As in it has the same principles as a purchased good? BTW I am not deliberately trying to insult you or anything like that, my question is genuine.
You're missing the point. What if the CH had asked you for the Vector of the Joystick image you created. All you would have to hand over is a PNG file you have for the Icon and sadly have to tell the CH that you didn't create it. That it's a free Icon that you used, and he cannot copyright or trademark the image.... This is why most designers here create their own artwork and why a lot of designers enter contests for 100+ dollars. We aren't just slapping a free icon with some text we've made - we've created it from scratch. My design, of the Arcade machine, complete done from scratch in Illustrator.
