i dont know why but today i see that my control panel "advertiser expired" i applied the hostgator program again but automatically declined me . is it only for me or are there anyone like me ..do they ban the countries?
Be thankful they kicked you out before you had to deal with "reversals". Plenty of other webhosting companies to promote.
are you part of their affiliate program? Maybe they find something on your sales...it's just my 2 cent...
I haven't had much luck with HostGator in terms of actual money made. More times than not, they don't pay because they say the person who bought the service canceled early. This has been typical of most of the hosting providers i have worked with in the past.
Well, hostgator hosting is superb, but their affiliate program isn't. I am banned from them in CJ too. I sent quite many sales but majority of them were not counted, then, they decided to pull the plug. Fine.
It will be better for you to apply straight in their website. In CJ you will earn $50 because CJ will take half the c ommision, if through their site, they will pay you $100 for each sale. I made 2 sales last week and the commission is on hold for review for 2 months
YMMV (your mileage may vary), I hosted with them for a couple of years and then had a little problem - the email server stopped, and they couldn't fix it. A week of no email and I moved one. I have a knack for find the weak link. On the affiliate side, I only had a few sales with them and they never stuck, always got reversed. I quit bothering with that business.
No, you will earn $100 via CJ and $50 on their site per sale. CJ does take 30% of the commission you made from advertisers, not from the amount you earned so you are still get $100 and CJ get $30 altogether if the sale qualified. Not $50/$50 like you stated. You shouldn't spread the wrong information to peoples. That's it.
Dude you are the one stating wrong information here. I was promoting them through CJ and it was only $50 for each sale, in their site they pay $100 to me for each sale now. I am not simply posting rubbish, so chill and check it again.
Here is the terms on their site Here is the Hostgator terms on CJ. Enough?? You have to made 11+ sales monthlyto get $100 commission on each sale on Hostgator while you can earn $100 commission for each sale regardless to number of the sales you made per month if you earn with CJ.
Lol CJ is paying $100 now, it was $50 when I was promoting them in CJ, hmmm but you are wrong about the Hostgator insite affiliate program commission. See this (it will be enough ) http://forums.digitalpoint.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21094&stc=1&d=1223826708 So if CJ is going to cut $30 from the $100, you will only earn $70 from it instead of $100 directly from their site. Plus communications with their support is much better from their website compared to in CJ. So you decide.
If I remember correctly, Hostgator does always give $100 commission each sale since the first start of their program on CJ and never been that $50. They just started to give peoples $50 each sale when they started affiliate on their own. See link and image above to confirm what I said. Your condition on Hostgator affiliate may be unique from each other but you should mention on the common terms that peoples will receive when they applied for affiliate under Hostgator directly, not just you. About CJ. I have to confirm you will earn $100 not $70. I have explained about this already and will not redo it. I can explain because I had earned $100 for each hostgator sale from CJ and never been that $70.
No idea mate, the reason for me changing hostgator affiliate program from CJ to their site is because they pay more in their site and in CJ it was $50 as I know. There is no unique payment in hostgator, once you join them and start your first sale, their affiliate manager will contact you and change it to $100 for each sale. It is great to keep in touch with the affiliate manager if you are a direct affiliate rather than going through second party (in this case CJ). And about the $70, you are the one stated that CJ will deduct 30%, so out of $100 it is $70 commission. I guess it works like that I have tasted both sides and I choose to remain direct affiliate with them rather than being with CJ because it is much easier and direct. Plus they pay through paypal in their direct affiliate, don't have to wait for cheques from CJ (which includes fees to withdraw and time too receive it). Hope you see my point here
Ok I have stated about 30% but I already mentioned that 30% will be deducted from advertisers not publisher. Hostgator and all advertisers have to handling 30% of commission earned by publishers to CJ. When one hostgator sale has been made via CJ, here is a brief You will earn $100 CJ will earn 30% of $100 = $30 Hostgator have to pay in total = $100 + $30 = $130 Sounds good if your said about affiliate manager adjust your commission on each sale from $50 to $100 was true. However, I still see the commission is $50 for each sales unless you made 11+ sales per month as they stated on their terms. It's up to peoples here who read this thread. They may decide to ask their manager directly about this one after joined Hostgator affiliate, by referring this thread also. Hope all of them would get what you have got. good luck.
Just make one sale and the affiliate manager will email you asking for $50 change to $100 and if you make 20+ sale in one month, it will be $125 for each sale. Now after your explaination on the commission deduction in CJ, I get a better idea why many publishers are complaining about revised commission on the sale that they made through CJ. Of course because hostgator pays $30 more if someone make a sale through CJ compared to making a sale by direct affiliates. Stay safe with them
Cj= $100.00 there is NO $30.00 taken out of your pocket. I have never had CJ attach fees for anything. The only time we would get fees would be for a lost/stolen check. So if you sell for Hostgator and you make sales on CJ you get paid $100.00. Hostgator can reverse the sales(they do) not all the time though. I had 2 successful sales the month b4 last. SXPERM is saying the truth. All it takes to discover the truth is to read and comprehend.
