Not sure what support you need if this is purely for "proxy hosting" I am very interested in offering proxy hosting and will be watching the discussion about it carefully But it will be no fuss hosting, support? sure if my server goes down etc Control panel? no, not needed, point your domans at the ip i give you and go nuts Price wise, my smallest package would be around $20 per month, it will be inline with what others offer for this money Would any one be interested? It may take a few months to come to light
Small update, cmodz-hosting IS overselling end of story. I will not match that as i will not oversell. I could offer the following with NO over selling, this would be limited to 15 accounts. price - $19.99 per month via paypal 400gb bandwidth per month 1gb of storage - Your logs will be on top of this eg not counted. If you need more and you can justify that it is proxy related you can have it - this will not be strict but it must be proxy related. if you wanted 10gb for cache for example i will approve of that. Unless i am wrong you will not need more. My main proxy webroot is 2.4mb (yes mb - not gb) including some backups and a dev copy. SFTP access (I will help people set this up on their end) 1 Unique IP address One free HTTPS/SSL cert Zero email Zero sql Zero cPanel Zero Junk Single month contract - cancel when you like Server will be Quad Core Xeon 2.6ghz per core 10.4ghz of lovely proxy power, so 4gb of ram 1000mbit (1gigabit) nic This would be proxy hosting only, glype phproxy zlune (list not final) only. No cgiproxy, no other non proxy scripts. Therefor support will be minimal as you would be expected to know what you are doing. If you cant make $20 a month in this business you should probably give up Just throwing some ideas about, if any one is interested let me know.
I was also hosted with cmodz In the past they had allot of downtime something went wrong with the dns a few times....
TMZ is great, whenever I needed support in the past they've replied within minutes with quality answers. Good promotions most of the time as well, plus I like the fact that the owner (I think?) is active on this forum.
Anyone know any decent directories that bring good traffic? I know tech faq does and its a great directory! But anymore?
I got my hosting from a member here on DP and it's great. My proxies haven't been down once in the whole time I've been using them, and when there was a small technical glitch (I couldn't access cPanel, the proxies were still up though) I received a quick reply and even a small gift for compensation
How much could I sell my www.hiddenworm.com proxy for? It gets about 200-300 uniques daily and it has about 20 active returning visitors who use the site often, not put adsense up on it yet was aiming to get to 1k uniques daily before I start monetizing it.
I would say you would only get a matter of dollars for it. I would advise putting Adsense on it for a month and then you'd get a better idea, but at the moment it's using a free script and not getting that many visitors. So, yeah, put Adsense on, even if you only get a few dollars then at least it's something
Well some proxy owners don't need 400GB bw, so I would make a YOUR PACKAGE / 4 So for only 5$ and 100GB .. I would need a 400GB package for sure, but yeah I mean... I have a lot of proxies but most have 2/3 MAX Greetz
Anyone here is the owner of unblockall.net? It listed on sitepoint and got 15k bid????? I need to plaster my proxies with everything and make a new design then sell it for 1 million. http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/auctions/47556 Members: 25,032, Active Members: 24 **I am not interested in buying the site, just thought the price is ridiculous.
hell i got 1.31$ for yesterday 17 clicks in 13000 pageviews and for today 4 clicks in 1500 pageviews by now and 17 cents what the hell is happening to adsense how does share market crash is related to fall in CTR seems i should sell banners on index page too lol
Been pretty poor for me recently, too, but yesterday I got a $0.30 click which I was quite happy with because my clicks have only been worth a few cent recently. I have a friend who also owns proxies and he seems to be getting nearly $1 per click recently. Why is it that some people get more than others?
amount you get from a click depends on the advertisers payout its not just the google adsense who decides the rate for the click but it all depends on advertisers as ultimately they have to pay
But how come my friend is getting nearly $1 per click and I'm getting just a few cents per click even though we both use the same amount of ad blocks and both have the same keywords?
