Some Americans are following her. No matter what, some people will not vote for obama and that is not the crowd he is going after.
Night of long cut and pastes, but as it came out in today's New Yorker, and as I generally find James Wood's work incredibly gifted (anyone interested in writing, or appreciating, fiction, get his book, How Fiction Works) and as it applies to some of what I was talking about above, so be it. He speaks directly to what I was trying to get to, anyway: http://www.newyorker.com/reporting/2008/10/13/081013fa_fact_wood?currentPage=all
The support for the bailout came from the spending gang of Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank and Nancy Pelosi.
I hope each of those republican do not get reelected and are brought up on charges just like the enron gang.
that is what i mean by the image. It is the end of GOP that is being taken over by Christian extremists and neocons she is losing the conservatives, and moderate republicans. she is scaring more and more people. Base is killing the party
as we can see now whatever the pronlem is, it has a devastating effect on the life of average citizens. Bailout is poison but it is poison like chemotherapy drugs. a savage poison that is necessary to preserve the life of the patient. We can look for responsible people and if they committed crimes we can try to recoup from them.
They are not looking for who committed the crime. It was them. They are not going to indict themselves.
Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Barrick Husssein Obama were taking crazy money from Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae. Chris Dodd got some sweatheart loans.
Really ? One loan for one Mortgage ? At the same time McCain was supposedly warning Washington about the unregulated Mortgage markets, he mysteriously converted HALF of his personal portfolio into Financial and Mortgage investments. Strange. Notice that he is also invested in Freddie, Fannie, Meryl Lynch, Bear Sterns and Lehman Brothers..all companies that have gone belly up, yet McCain seemed to get out just in time and make a profit. For those that he still holds, I guess the bailout plan of $790 Billion will help him recoup some of his losses. Hmmnn. $1million in Meryl Lynch alone. then maybe the get some rich republicans and make them pay for it. it works for me. lol ================================================================== @bogart. lets say mccain predicted that this thing going to happen. It still leaves him impotent to do anything about it. That is the point He is going to be another failure just like bush.
Senator Dodd received two loans in 2003 through Countrywide's V.I.P. program Fannie Mae buys more home loans from Countrywide than from any other of its business affiliates. According to its most recent report to the Securities and Exchange Commission Fannie called Countrywide its "top customer," accounting for approximately 28 percent of Fannie's single-family business by volume last year - 2 percent more than in 2006. BOA which bought countrywide wrote the Dodd Housing Bailout Bill.
