If you don't think other countries are racist you need to travel more.

It trickles down regardless of who is president. If Pepsi raises the wholesale product prices guess what it trickles to the consumer. If you increase taxes on big business it trickles down.

Carter? you gotta be kidding. I am glad MLK voted republican and for the party promoting civil rights.

Why are you bringing up Obama's cousin Cheney?

In most other countries it's not this "white against black" thing that strangleholds us here in the U.S.
Well how did it help us in the last 8 years ? The top companies in the U.S. paid no taxes, made gobs of money and the economy is in collapse, and we still have to bail them out.

I'm no economist, but I don't think that worked very well.

Today's Republicans do not deserve to claim MLK. They have completely bastardized the Republican party to one of persona gain, big business influence, and trampling of freedoms for the individual citizens. (read the Patriot act)
Don't tell Cheney that , he will have a heart attack and lose his membership in the country club.

(CNN) — Some are calling it a Freudian slip. Everyone’s calling it a big mistake.

    Hundreds of absentee ballots
sent to voters in New York State’s Rensselaer County, near Albany, were printed with Barack Obama’s last name spelled as “Osama," the Albany Times Union reports.

County elections officials tell the newspaper that it was a typo that made it by three rounds of proof-readers. They also said the error affected just a few hundred voters, and that they will re-send corrected ballots on request.

I think Mia has been working very, very hard offline. :D

Yep, saw that, and had a hard time trusting this was an "oops," to be honest.

Probably. When I saw him in Vegas there were a lot of people there, some even started showing up before sunrise just to make sure they got in.

Cool thing about it was, there were all kinds of people. Young, Old, Middle Class, Single Mothers, School Teachers and Construction Workers who rushed over after work. There were even some limo's there (that weren't Obama's), even though that is not abnormal for Vegas.
There were Parents with their kids, I even met a couple that was married 50 years..seen it all, and they were happy as hell to have gotten a chance to see him.

He stayed after and answered questions, no matter how stupid, to anyone who stayed after the speech. Took pictures with people and shook about 1000 hands.

He was actually a very nice man, and he seemed very grateful and gracious that so many came out to see him an support his candidacy.....I have never seen that before.

I've said this before - I don't know that America has seen anything like this since JFK.

Exogenous shocks, this is the scary comparison? Or do you feel JFK blew the handling of the crisis?
