If you have a moment to take a look at our Unlocked iPhones website and offer any constructive commentary, it would be most appreciated. We purchased the domain (unlockediphones.net) primarily as a domain investment since all surrounding TLDs are obviously taken, but we wish to monetize it a bit instead of simply pointing to the usual parking page. Thanks! Cheers, Rob
I see that your website is new, The Domain name is perfect for your category. The template is not so attractive, maybe you should work more on your site's design make it more attractive. Also you can make your homepage more resourceful with images linking your products and items. Also you can signup for Google Adsense and add some Adsense ads. Good Luck.
I think that your header could do with replacing, I immediately think of a dark templte when i think of an I-Phone i would reccomend you change your template, maybe to even an iphone template that would be cool
Hello, - True, very good domain name, get the most out of it. - About the design, that bolded words look harsh, I think there are to many, maybe the font is not so good. - Maybe bring in another color, you got only black, white and some blue.
Thanks to everyone for all the feedback... we recently deployed a new theme, adapted it somewhat and it is drastically different from the previous look. Any opinions on the new look and feel greatly appreciated! www.unlockediphones.net
Excellent domain name... I liked the design but it would be worth getting a more professionally looking template. I would suggest you not to go for google adsense or any other ads until u get some pagerank and backlinks.. Overall rating : 8/10
yes, great domain name Improve ur seo for this site Buy some link or doing link building add some services over there good potential
Just a general note to everyone who took time to review Unlocked iPhones .net ... it's presently on sale on eBay (about 30 minutes left) but if it doesn't sell , we will definitely apply the suggestions above (and below) to improving the site design. Thanks - good point, the point of the site is to attract unlocked iPhone enthusiasts, so the outbound Adsense ads are probably not a good idea for now - although we have seen a bit of revenue on the site. We're working on building natural organic SERP positioning ; the site has about 360 pages indexed in Google thus far, but you're right some more aggressive and targetted inbound link building should help. Yup! The iPhone 3G (AKA v2) has indeed been unlocked, and Apple has several disclaimers (i.e. warnings) about it not being supported. There are many articles on the site about unlocked iPhone 3G units being on sale. Really ? It doesn't fit with the iPhone feel ? I sort of like the color. Too "in your face" ? Thanks everyone, Rob
First off, what a great domain name! Definitely worth the investment. Secondly, perhaps this is a personal choice, but I am put-off by the "blog" feel of this site. It would be great to make this site into a streamlined merchant site, with informational articles as well as a "store" section for the unlocked iPhones. In order to open up the valve of traffic, I would definitely change the format to appear as an information/merchant site. Create content that is highly visible to search engines (SEO/LSI), thus you will draw in readers who are seeking out information on your site. This will open up a new market for you, because if the information on your site is pointing at iPhones and unlocked iPhones, the readers will be more apt to purchase an iPhone. AMAZING potential with your site. Turn it from good to freakin' fantastic!
You really need a good Logo and a theme change. the content is good but the layout is scruffy. I think with a good over haul to give it a more hansome look the site could be very successful. I also have sitewide links for sale on www.3giphoneweb.com if your intrested? (As relevent content)
I think the design is nice but I would remove the underline of the headings. Also, I noticed you only have 2 Google ads per page. Maybe you can add one more between the first and second post. But I can understand if you don't want to crowd it with ads.
Also, I just realized this after looking at another website, maybe you could place Link units in the top bar where the search box is located.
Thanks everyone for the input and advice - both in this thread and by PM and email - there are many more great suggestions. For now, we're in a holding mode with the current site design and SEO work. The irony is that we got a lowball site offer ($500 !?) for both the domain and content in the midst of all of this. Thanks to suggestions above, here is where we're at: * Traffic is increasing about 10-15% on a weekly basis, based on unique visitors and pageviews * We currently have about 325 pages of content indexed on Google, and seems to be growing nicely in an organic fashion... organic traffic is always a good thing. I agree with comments above about improving the monetization improvements, but for the moment the priority is growing organic traffic to the site. On a similar topic for anyone reading this; any ideas on the best affiliate programs for iPhones ? As you'll notice from the site, it's running Google Adsense for contextual ad revenue, but direct relationships with affiliate programs is usually a better deal in terms of rev-share. Cheers, Rob
Sorry, not a fan. Seem like not enough thought has gone into the layout - the template (yuk!) make it look unprofessional. You really need to work on the header as well. Still - the domain name is good and content is ok, just needs a new design
Thanks Ian. Will work on that. We have many other domains / projects that we're working on... and with the traffic to the site /here, we got a $750 offer... at this point, if someone wants it (domain with or without content) for $999 it's sold. It's a great domain and project, but we have lots of fish to fry so to speak.... And I agree that it can be improved, template-wise. Cheers, Rob
I think the site looks messy. Being totally honest i think the site would be allot better if you totally redesigned it.
