Well I am confused. I wrote a post on my blog about it. I am trying hard to get my pagerank up, but my blog, http://www.GetSomeCashOnline.Com will not go past PR1. The reason is simple. How did you check backlinks? I take help of forum and blog posting. I have 800+ backlinks for my main website from forum and blog which I can see from my google webmaster tools. It has been building links now for my blog too.
I think you mean Google Pagerank. This took a few months to obtain. Since June. You can check your own backlinks by changing the URLs to your own in the 2 links I provided.

Yahoo shows all the backlinks that bots find and google shows only the valuable backlinks. That's the main difference between them and your backink numbers in yahoo and google
Lol. My question was HOW to make this possible. I know how it works and how many I need for particular pagerank etc. I need to know how to get whats on Yahoo, onto Google.
Don't worry, what's on yahoo is what's on google. Just google don't show all your backinks to you but yahoo shows.

Google only shows a sample of the back links if you want to see them all use google webmastertools or yahoo site explorer
The link: operator you used to check the backlinks doesn't work, Google even admitted that. The only way you can check how many backlinks you have from Google is through Google Webmaster Tools. You need to signup and verify your website.

here is a little tip I learned. Type (your niche) blog and post your link in the comments section in all the sites that come up. Another tip, type (your niche) .edu blog and post in comments AND FINALLY type (your niche) .gov blog and post in comments again. Google gives higher swing to .edu and .gov sites. Make sure you have good keywords in your anchor text and good luck.
Do not check your backlinks in google via link: operator. This operator only shows a sample of the links that a site have. Use google webmaster tools to see the actual number of backlinks.
Wait for some time. It takes time. I got 700 plus backlinks on Google and 12000 yahoo backlinks with lot of time promoting the blog. So, just wait make connections and submit to directories. Be a hard working blogger and not a complaining one.
