    Hello Dear Friends ,

As you might know, my sister gave birth to a wonderful baby girl and she is asking me whether is it harmful or not. At the moment she is sleeping in a room where the pc is almost ON all the time so do you have any ideas whether we should turn off the pc or take the girl in another room !?

    Thanks

    Olgi

Some studies say Yes, others say NO.
If it's a wireless internet connection, that can be harmful. If you do a search about, you'll find some infos.

    Congrats to your sister! :)

Don't forget about the noise factor. Lots of PCs have very noisy fans.

If I had to sleep in the same room as some of my older, noisier computers, I'd kill myself.

I am not sure if it is harmful but even if it is not, you should take precautions.

yes, it is harmful. A computer emits a lot of radiations that maybe for an adult arent harmful but for a newborn girl I think they are.
    Congrats for your baby!

You are right PCs emit radiation but i dont think it is harmful for even a newborn. Radiation is there in the atmosphere, in TV, aircraft every where but those are within acceptable limits. Just make sure that baby is not near the PC. the nearer the stronger is the radiation.

I agree with you but it really depends on the computer. Maybe call the manufacturer because it's an important topic.

As I knew, the PC will emit a great radiation, no matter to adult or the new born babies...

Very harmful. You will stay on the PC and ignore your kids. Throw the PC out of the window.

Why take the risk and chances anyway by leaving the baby in the same room with the pc on? Just go for either one of the options that you've mentioned. Definitely I'll do the same as well.
