Hi, I thought this could be interesting here. Visit All Google’s Sites: http://richardmclaughlin.biz/visit-googles-site-in-your-local-domain/
That's a very interesting list. They are seriously taking their brand everywhere. Many of those are very small countries (and some aren't even countries) where you would think it serves very little purpose to actually create a google local brand. But they obviously have a very imperialistic approach to global online dominance
Google is the biggest brand on the internet. their name is unique, and can't be registered by someone else in any other tld.
They own their own datacenter, the only thing they pay for is bandwidth is based on the amount they purchase will be in the penny ranges.
Could be interesting , but what if someone bigger comes alonga nd wipes google off the mat? There is talk of a new company that has more power than google and is 300% faster as a server and search engine.
Google results differ based on where you are located. Having a top 10 SERP listing is great, but that does not mean that your results will even be top 100 in other countries. Translate your services page into your target language {this example shows Russian, I have pages in all the languages supported by translate.google dot com} and then submit your site to foreign search engines because Google is not #1 world-wide and there are a lot of people that prefer their country specific search engine. My site has articles on IT governance, a potentially boring subject, and when I translated my pages I started getting searches from search engines that I had never heard of before, and in languages that I can't read - like Greek and Korean. The US dollar is weak. A lot of the foreign markets are doing better than the US right now, so consider including a translation option on your site.
