It's murder and immoral regardless if the child is a jew, black or white.

In other news besides Biz's disgusting, graphic conjectural descriptions of violence on women (and family members to other DP members, at that):

"Troopergate" has come home to roost. Sarah Palin abused her power in the firing of her former brother-in-law, the bipartisan investigating panel concluded today:

Now, when she isn't spewing hate at rallies, or winking, this Governor has stupidly argued she would expand the role of her Vice Presidency, to include an increased, extra-constitutional power in her capacity as Senate President, to ensure "the Senate supports the President's policies."

We've had 8 years of the gross abuse of power, and destruction of the public trust. This unfavorable Troopergate conclusion is only more evidence of this candidate's serious flaws, as a candidate, and as a referendum on McCain's judgment, having chosen her in an 11th hour rushed appeal to the right wing of his party.

Edit: Grim, crossed in the mail.

Oh ! That's Big ! Another nail in the McCain/Palin coffin. They have to be really pissed now...the only thing left on the negative campaign trail is to say Obama has a tail, that's why he runs so fast...oh wait, that was someone else, never mind. Hard to tell the difference. :)

Methinks the lad is coming unhinged?

    Anyway...

Yep, I do think there might be some real fallout from this. And it would be legitimate. Palin has displayed a gross disregard for the constitutional boundaries of her would-be position, and this conclusion of an abuse of power strikes at the very heart of her inability to grasp such limits.

    This is a great thread!

I'm watching Larry King, the official McCain statement is that this was a partisan effort by Obama supporters .
Absolutely unbelievable that all the McCain camp does is blame and finger point. It's like watching a spoiled brat play a game with other kids and getting caught cheating.

Well the State Investigator's report was that Sarah Palin abused her powers as Alaska's governor. It is a bipartisan council that made that unanimous conclusion. This won't be helping McCain campaign.....

Oh, yeah, expected that. To be honest, surprised I haven't seen a complete deluge here, saying it's all just "lefty" smears...:D

Yep. The bipartisan thing will be a bit of a problem, ascribing this to a mere witch hunt....

Gotta give McCain credit today, he finally stood up to the hate rhetoric at a rally today and took the boo's.

    Yes gotta give him credit.

I wonder if he's doing it because those in the middle are who he needs, not his 'solid' base. In any event, give it to him that he did it for his superior class that is within him 'a good thing'...

His own campaign has rallied his followers into the heated passion they are in today.

Here's another clip that shows both questions and answers.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EjUeMqTKfwE

To me, this is the biggest news of the day. I think this is the real McCain. I think he's just been going along with what his strategists have been telling him he has to do to win and he's not liking where it's going. They whipped their own supporters up into such a frenzy to the point where he has to step in and say stop.
I think this is pretty good evidence that it's not the politicians' fault as much as we would like to think. The politicians mostly just play to the ignorance, fears, hopes, etc, of the voters. Maybe McCain has gotten tired of doing that, or at least gotten tired of standing by and watching his campaign managers do it.
I also think now that it's probably over for McCain now unless something huge and unpredictable happens in the world that favors McCain. But I think now he'll lose as the dignified person that many people think of him as.

Harold, thanks for a great clip. I was actually moved, to see him finally do the right thing. To be honest, I didn't see much politics here. If anything, the opposite - my sense is this is where the man's heart lies, and he's finally decided to touch down with what he really feels.

I also think he was just not up for this race, ultimately - against the myth, he is an old, and a tired man, and he acquiesced so much of his former convictions to the Karl Rove clones of his own team, and of his party; both in choosing Palin, and in the way in which he has conducted the race since securing the nomination.

But I've honored McCain for a long time, and would hope he can go down as gracefully as he displayed in Harold's video, telling the extremists of his own party and ticket that this is not him, and this is not what an American election should be about, any longer.

I expect a tidal backlash, and it might not all be just the rabid rightist pundits - Hannity, Limbaugh, and Co. The way Palin has displayed her disregard for McCain's intentions - e.g., her calling him to task for pulling out of Michigan - I can see a bizarre turn, where McCain continues on the right road, while his foaming-at-the-mouth running mate goes even more truly postal.

Finally - did anyone else sense this - McCain's gracious comments on Obama remind me of Hillary Clinton's comments one debate, near the end (before we realized the end would be a long, long away), when she said something to the effect "I am honored to have run with Barack, and no matter what happens, we'll be O.K., we'll be O.K."? Then, I felt I was watching the first glimpse of Clinton's concession, and desire to "heal" the party (though I was later proved wrong). Is anyone else seeing in this a McCain who has begun the process of conceding, and wants an America less damaged than it is now, by this particularly nasty election?

Edit: Logic, just saw your post. Astounding to me how much we're receiving similar impressions.

The only thing that can possibly save McCain is a massive False Flag terrorist attack like 9/11 and time is seriously running out for that to happen, thankfully.

IMHO McCain has to go nasty, extremely nasty playing on the fears of whatever alleged allegations against Obama if he is to stand a chance. Palin shown this when she was alleging Obama's terrorist links. It is winners take all so I do not expect that McCain will go down a gentleman but I will expect the campaign to go for the jugular.

Yeah maybe. The term gets tossed around way too much, but McCain is a true patriot. I doubt he likes the idea of the next potential president going into office under such great suspicion by a significant minority of americans. If he really does believe that Obama is not to be feared, then getting that out in the open was the right thing for the US. He may very well lose for it and I'm sure he knows it.
I'd really like to see him in the cabinet or in some other top position if he loses. This would be a good way for Obama to help make good on his promise to unite us.

I guess I'm just always hopeful. We all do so much better when we get along (and respectfully disagree), and part of my problem with the last several years is the ascendancy of a culture of mean-spiritedness and sheer cynicism. If McCain can stay true to the huge arrow he shot today, he'd have my respect - again.

McCain will make a similar speech but in much greater detail on Obama and how the democrats and Republicans need to reach across the aisle to help the United States out of the recession.

Regardless of all the crap said about both candidates both parties need to work together looking out for the best interest of all citizens.

Well, in honor of McCains stand, i will join him by removing my avatar portraying Obama as a terrorist. But i stand by the fact that McCain is the better man for the job. I think this just proves it. He stands against his own supporters to do the right thing. Thats honorable
