My average eCPM has dropped by exactly 36% for this month compared to last months average I was wondering if you guys are seeing similar results? After 1 or 2 days this month I was thinking it might just be a slow start and it would straighten out by the 3rd or 4th like it always does. Now ten days into it I'm just wondering if other people are seeing the same. My traffic is still strong as an ox and clicks are doing quite well also. just curious.
Mine has been a rollercoaster. Some days over $100, some days under $40. Last month it was pretty much $80ish each day. My earnings have followed along for the ride. It's been an odd month so far.
My ePC and eCPM were at record highs right up thru a few days ago when it suddenly did a huge drop.. Yesterday was the worst day i've had in months, and it looks like today might be an all-time low ... Traffic, is normal.. i guess the financial crisis is finally affecting ME ..
My ECPM has dropped also lately. After 6 wonderfull months it has suddenly decreased although the traffic has increased. Maybe it's time to switch to another program.
We had a few great days recently, then today the bottom fell out. Very uncharacteristic of my site, which has always been very steady and constant for years. Very curious to see how this plays out with the economy tanking. Hope I can still pay the bills!
It isn't always a case of switching to another program... but evaluating whether any other programs are more effective on certain sites/pages within a site or alongside the existing one. For many people there will be some impact... some people will see record high days and others will have record low days. It is a case of covering all bases and being diversified enough to take advantage of the current situation... but it is hard to figure out how to take advantage of it now if you were not already in the right niche areas before all this began. It may be a case of riding out the storm and reducing your own expenses in line with lower income days... I know I don't make a large amount any day anyway, but I have seen some days when people just seem to not click at all and other days when CPC is low or CPC is high etc. Overall, the best I can say is that it is inconsistent and I have to adjust to ensure all my costs are covered and assume the worst case scenario... planning for the worst case scenario will help you increase your profit margin percentage (not necessarily actual net profit in dollars).
the first few days of this months well above average - then below - now average rollercoaster like many others. visitors and clicks as usuall ( visitors# higher than mid summer months ) it's part of todays global economy crisis. good ones survive bad ones die by the end survives a strong web publisher community with clean useful content
Hi, It's Common Factor, in adwords it is also show diff in every months by some factor like keyworsd, traffic, market trade, technology, source changes, time so it also happen with adsense
It is kind of like the stock market roller coaster. ;-) However I will say this. Adsense has been my most constant earner for 5 years now. Overall very steady and reliable income. Fluctuations like these are frustrating at times, but when we look at our stats from a year to year basis, it is pretty stable. My biggest gripe right now is the auto complete they rolled out. It has hurt my longtail traffic. Folks are opting for the common phrases that show in auto complete. I need to do some reoptimizing around more common or general queries I guess.
Adsense has always done very well on my website and been consistent for aorund 3 years. The past 4 days however has dropped around 25% which has been the biggest drop so far, cant see any reason why apart from the current economic crisis, maybe people arent advertising as much on google because of the credit crunch.
We have a smart one here yeah, I have attempted to target the "see also" links on the bottom of general searches also. Just another idear
