Is Ezine Articles really that Crappy these days?

Alright, I can't keep up this pace and see nothing come of it.

One of my pen names which I use just to promote the E4E related niche I've written 50 some articles for and only have 800 some views. I'm average 16 views an article and 3-4 clicks for it. In other words, its a giant waste of time.

I can understand for some of the other niches, but what the hell is up with the energy niche? It's pretty new still, even when I wrote articles a month ago I didn't get much out of it. I bought a whole domain devoted to it and have a clean looking review page. It has nothing to do with the page, people don't even see it so it's no issue there. Other people are making money off of the E4E niche from Ezine I'm sure, I can't get any traffic at all though. I'm using unique keywords with low competition but decent search numbers, putting them in there enough but not too much, and using stupid 3 tips titles which people love.

Maybe I'm posting in the wrong categories? How much does that determine views?

I feel you man. I think it's because this is niche is so new. People aren't as familiar with the idea of making your own green energy and therefor are harder to sell to. The market isn't very defined right now so you basically have to sell them the idea with your articles.

I feel you man. I'm not sure what you're doing wrong and I can only think the niches you're touching on. Look, if I was to give one consolation, take the articles, slightly rewrite them and put them on your own site. Put advertisements on your pages, and make sure they'll linked up somehow. It should take 2-6 months, but you'll start rocking your own organic traffic.

the niche is new but becoming increasingly competitive ... a lot of the good keywords already have high ranking articles showing in search results ...

so keep looking for the new keywords that haven't been taken, and base your articles around those, and i agree with Supper, put them, slightly rewritten, on your own site too in order to grown the organic traffic to your site. ;)

Could you share more about this. Means you are targeting keywords or you are just using attracting titles for your articles.

It will be due to the keywords your focusing on do some better keyword research and you will do much better. If you don't invest the time in proper keyword research then you will never get anything out of it.

I have submitting articles to ezinearticles and for me, they are effective in promoting something. Just try to vary the keywords and make your article interesting.

This is one of the most important aspects, it can make the difference between someone clicking on your article or simply not bothering.

One tool I sometimes use is http://www.aminstitute.com/headline/index.htm
test your headline in the box - it gives a percentage to tell you how good your headline is.

Obviously, it's not written in stone, but can be a useful indicator tool for you.

Thanks for the link! As soon as I clicked on it, I already came up with two good titles that scored pretty well (35%). :)

You can try visiting Treehugger.com because they might help you with it. They promote green revolution. You can contact them and maybe become part of the team.

I am targeting keywords, of course, here is my best recipe for you:

Open google keyword suggestion tool, and look for the best keyword with the most demand, and where is the most advertisier competition, there you have some of the best keywords of your niche.

If you are going to write for example for the hypnosis niche, i will give my article a title like this "How To Hypnotize Someone And Make Him Hand You His Wallet", where "how to hypnotize" is my first keyword, and "how to hipnotize someone" is my second.

People just have to see what is this article, and what they can learn from it, use attractive titles for all of your articles, and you will see that ezinearticles is great!

    Cheers, and good luck!

keyword targeting is important ... i used to just write, and although i got some traffic from it, now that i'm targetting each article on specific keywords i'm seeing much better results
