Only Allah knows when it will be end. But according to Islam (Some clue of End of the world) are it will end at friday and the time will be before evening.
Interesting because I have a completely different view on the future. I believe that we create it, therefore we know what it will be.

The world will not end this soon... and this is a rumour... i m a great thinker.. and concept builder.. so...Dec 21, 2012 is just 3 years 15 months far from today... and the universe is not a paper .. tat it will get crushed in seconds.. if this be true.. atleast some news from our NASA researchers would have reached us.. tat there is something awful is happening in outer world .. I agree.. ENERGY doesnt takes time to change its form... but its effects last long.... and if something awful is going to happen... the preparation for the change takes a long time.. and 3 years is tooooo short for it... Just because it is 12/12/2012 does not make any difference - that date just sounds cool. The early humans just happened to start recording history 2008 years ago. if they had of started 2012 years ago, the universe would have already ended right? not right, because it hasn't. Times and dates are only something invented by man to give place and reference to things, and makes no difference to the real space-time continuum. and besides, what would make it end? there has to be something to cause the totality of existence to stop anyway. did that make sense?
don't believe in it...no one could ever predict about the world's end, unless Jesus would talk to him/ her...right?
The Mayan calendar simply ends in 2012, mostly since the Spanish monks destroyed most of what was important tot he Mayan society at the the time. Just Google this and you will be much more knowledge after doing some more reading. If you really must know when the world will end, take this into account...there is a 1 in 47,000 chance that the asteroid Apophis will impact the Earth in 2036. If this were to occur it would certainly end life on this planet as we know it. Oh yeah, and global warming won't be an issue either... Mind you the above could occur at ANYTIME as we have no means of protecting ourselves from this happening. It happened in Siberia in 1908 and that was just a small one. Also, don't forget about self annihilation by nuclear weapons, or Yellowstone national park exploding, which by the way is one of the Earth's largest active "super volcanoes".
Its not not just the Mayan calendar. There are many other ancient calendars that point to the period of 2012 for a time of change. NOT the end of the world. Look what is happening right now with the global economy.

This is based on the Maya prediction, but actually they were predicting their own end and that came a lot sooner than they thought. Although, only ALLAH knows but i think there is still a lot of time, probably thousands of years to go.
This would be the Mayan calendar, which suddenly ended on the date you mention, a curious day I understand from an astronomical perspective. People have been proclaiming the end of the world for centuries, it is one of mankinds favorite past times _ I personally wouldn't worry yourself silly about it. Whatever will be, will be and to be absolutely honest, putting things into perspective, there's diddly fat squat that you or anyone else for that matter can do about it, even if the end of the world does come on that day. There is no point in sweating the small stuff, for everyone has to kick the bucket sometime. Whilst you are alive right now, take advantage of it to the full. No point at all living in either the past, which you cannot change or do anything about, or the future, with events untold, that no-one really has any idea, what is about to transpire. Live in the now and enjoy your life, your family, your friendships and your work. Everything else is futile. You are not alive right now in the future, nor are you alive right now in the past, but right now you are alive in the moment, live for that moment, in the now - that's all you need to worry about, or not as the case may be.
Allah, Jesus, Buddha all one and the same, just different paths to the same destination, I agree though, there's a few thousand years at least to go yet, albeit, with maybe in time, fewer numbers on the planet. Whether some huge momentous event happens in my lifetime or not is of little consequence, if I snuff it, well, I snuff it and there's not a lot I can do about it, if on the other hand I don't snuff it, and live through a major global changing event, well, things might certainly be quite interesting as I take it all in around me what is going on, but eventually I'll still get wrinkles no matter what happens, dribble, possibly get incontinent (but I hope not), gradually more senile before in the end kneeling over and pushing up the daisies.

It's interesting that the speculation about the end of the world is such a powerful thing for humans. Cults are built on it, religions are built on it...
why is it such a big deal? they are a bunch of rumors, and what if the world will end, maybe your not ready to adapt, evolve or die, if the world might end people's survival instinct will surely kick in we might be able to move to other planets or another galaxy or something

I did not agree with this prediction. I know this date comes from the Mayan calendar, which many believe says that the end of time is 2012. This is an incorrect interpretation of the Mayan perception of time. It is the end of an age in 2012. The Mayans had a 52 year cycle, much like we have a 100 year cycle. The date of 2012 is the end of one age, and the beginning of another. ----------------------- Jaibin
