I think it was the good decision to stop his carrier. His decision will give chance to youngsters to play for their country. His contribution to Indian cricket is amazing. He has changed the culture of the crickets from mild to fighter image. He was India’s most successful Test captain. He won 21 test matches in 49 matches as captain of Indian team. He has taken a good decision but it's sad that we can again watch Ganguly in a international match donning Indian colors. He is a treat to watch against spinners..
It was bound to happen someday. He may had serve India a little more, but the negligence showed by the former selectors was just irretable. May be he was talking about Tejinder Pal Singh. Not sure though.
Dilip Vengsarkar, whose actions as a national selector are being viewed as the reason for Sourav's retirement, has reacted to the former captain's outburst. Here are excerpts of what he said: “I won’t answer him now as this is not the right time because India is in the middle of a Test series (against Australia) and it might affect the focus of the team,†“BCCI should take some strict action against this as such statements are needless and can affect the morale and spirit of the whole squad.†“But I will definitely answer him after the series is over.
