So if I'm look to make about one hundred dollars a month to start, what should I do? I have time to work and do what I need to, I just don't know much in terms of online strategies and website desgingning, building, etc... And where can I buy a domain? I'm under the impression if I want to make decent money from a blog I should buy one, correct?
u can buy domains at gkg.net namecheap.com godaddy.com if u want hosting, u can check out the hosting companies... my wordpress blog is hosted here. check out other sections for search engines submit and etc.. and also u can also put a FEED on digital point and also feedburner.com hope that helps
As yourself and many others have stated, you should start out small when beginning then slowly work your way up. If you have the patience and appropriate skills, you could create your own website about pretty much anything. If you do decide to start a blog, keep it interesting and unique. No-one likes reading second-hand content. Perhaps add Google Adsense to earn a small income, which may ultimately increase over time. Submit majority of your articles or blog posts to popular social bookmarking websites, directories and what-not. If you don't posess such programming/design skills, then you should take a look at the DigitalPoint marketplace -you can always grab a bargain! Another suggestion is to keep your age hidden. Don't lie to people per say, just don't bring it up. People may find your age as a weakness or may perceive you as untrustworthy. Good luck!
Would suggest you to spend around month or so learning here at this awesome DP community. be part of it learn as much u can. Then you'll have an idea that where do you stand, then launch yourself with best talent or services you have in you. Meanwhile start with a Blogger blog and experiment with it.
Instead of looking for suggestions try to find out what you like to do or what you are good at as kiteguy has rightly mentioned. Once you are thru that then find ways to monetize what you are good at... It happens that most of the people jump in to make money and on not getting results keep switching from one to another program and finally @!#$%# So carefully see what interests you and work out on that and yes lot of reading on this forum will greatly help you. well, now google will discount the links from free directories, so it's good to build up some inbound links and quality backlinks... coz that's what i am going to do with my unique content hope that helps
Good to see that you started a blog. Keep it updated often and continue learning whatever you can. Don't over spend and focus on the things that you are interested in once you have found you passion. Also, a word of advise, dont over spend as well later on when you have some money in your paypal. I would say just experimenting is one of the best solutions. No one is going to had you $200 a mouth you really need to think about your strong points and play of those.

writing is ok but I would recomend you to get you an own domain and some owne webspace when your blog became a bit more succesfull
so how do i go about advertising the blog and making money after weeks and months of putting up good content? does anyone want to partner up - i'll keep writing if you advertise and we split the money'?
You can also put affiliate links in your blog instead of advertisement, affiliate can make good money if you have blog with good traffic.
What are your interests? What gets you excited? Anything you're passionate about? You can sell it if you find others with the same interests, passions and problems they want to solve that you may be able to help them solve. Develop a cure for a pain (problem solving) and you could have the next million dollar business.
