Okay, here's my situation. I have set up a very profitable content network campaign. I have been running it for about 2 weeks. In it, I have only 38 very targeted keywords with a max CPC of $0.20. I have received 336 clicks on 73,000 impressions (.46% CTR) with an average CPC of $0.14. My conversion rate has been huge (3.27%) making me about 1100% profit on ad spend. Problem is, that's only 11 conversions. This little campaign is netting me around $250 a week and I don't want to screw it up...but I would like to maximize it. I've mined up about 3500 good keywords. They are not nearly as targeted to my landing page as my current group. Should I add them to my existing campaign, create a new campaign along side my current one or what? I hear a lot of you guys having campaigns with 20-30k keywords. Is that the way to do it with the content network? Please only respond if you are experienced with creating successful content network campaigns. I know some of you are on here and I would really appreciate your input. Thanks, Scotty
Good post. Not wishing to derail the thread, you mention taking keyowrds down to one per ad group, which i do myself, why don't you employ seperate URls, for each keyword with say subids, or some kind of dynamic tracking, surely this would be easier? Although saying that, with adwords editor, be it one KW per ad or 100's (which to me seems completely silly), it's easy regardless.
