While the US is not technically a 'democracy' I do agree with the rest of what you say.

It's amazing that so many people support people they honestly do not support, when shown they are wrong on why they support the person, they still weasel their way into reasoning their support.

I'm so bored with this entire section, I can't even stand to post anymore.

BTW, this is the 2nd time you've accused me of giving you red rep.

    Wasn't me, Hombre!

No not really. Both will drag us into socialism. I have two choices. Do I vote for "quickly" with Obama or "slowly" with McCain.

I, on the other hand, see no honor in throwing my vote away on a 3rd party candidate where my vote would have no voice at all. The only advantage for you is that you will be able to say, "it wasn't my fault" no matter who wins.

I look at it totally differently. Obama is the left, the one who should be weak on the 2nd. He gets in, it isnt' going to change much in the bigger picture. Voting for a Republican, a man who should be strong on the 2nd, being weak on the 2nd is going to change the tide of what is considered 'strong' on the 2nd. Making it weaker in the long run.

It is not throwing your vote away to not throw your principles away, to take the 'easy' way out and vote along the brain washed masses. Standing up for what you believe in is not easy, it however is the correct method to partake IMHO.

I am not looking at an 'advantage' for me, I am looking at what is best for the country as a whole.

You would rather allow a man with a true "weak stance" practically no stance at all, get into Washington, than vote for a man that that has a slightly weaker than complete support stance?

    Thats great logic!

You dont throw away your principles you make the best possible choice for whats available. And voting for Ron Paul at this point in the election, is silly. Thats not sticking to your principles, thats plain mule stubbornness.

Whats best for the country? Higher taxes? Weak missile defense? Weak military? Weak CIA? Are these things whats best for our country? Cause this is what the party your willing to allow into Washington stands for.

Screw stubborn stances, if you want to do whats best for your country, vote for the better man to enter Washington, i mean come on!!

    Save it, man.

What you say makes sense to me, but he's been a Ron Paul guy for a while. I looked at Ron Paul too. I liked a lot of his policies and ideas but he did not win. McCain was my least favorite Repiblican candidate. I hated his McCain/Kennedy immigration bill that he tried to cram down our throats. That said, I hate socialism more.

Leave Grim alone. You'll just get in a fight.

Just know when America falls to terrorist attacks under Obamas reign, you did contribute to the team that could have prevented it. Should make you feel better.

Assuming of course Obama pulls it off.

Just get off your high freakin' horse.

The problem here is that you are so easily "amazed" that I have to "weasel" my way in to vote for McCain. I'm just trying to slow down socialism. I'm pissed. I'm demoralized. This country is going down the shithole and you know it and yet you are "amazed" that I would try to stop it.

Tell me what's so damned "easy" about voting for McCain? Brainwashed? Just stop it. Now you are talking out your ass. There are very few things about McCain that I like. It's just that there is so much about Obama that I don't like and McCain is the only person that stands a chance of beating him.

And you need to slow down and read, Jazz. This is the 2nd time, I think, you've misread what I wrote, and then went "" after.

I was simply listing who was on - hence, "howdy" to you. If anything, I wrongfully thought Simply was the varmint, and did not think Wade (Gtech) had his hand in it, at all. Never thought it was you. Just as with the last time, I wasn't accusing you, pahdner.

If I were only going to vote on who really represented the things I believe in, instead of compromising on a candidate, I'd have to start my own party and run and vote for myself.

you are forgetting a few things here
a-300 billion monopoly that mccain wants to start
b-It is the GOP that has fuc--d up the country
c-there is no one qualified in GOP that can run the country successfully.
    d-mccain can't even run a campaign.
e-Palin is a big political mistake if the goal is winning the election. As his first action we can see he is incompetent
There is nothing wrong with Obama. If you can get over your prejudice you can clearly see this.
we want "that one" for the president. No not the stupid one. "That one"

McCain is not just a 'slightly' weaker stance, he has a horrible stance!
I'd actually prefer neither, I will not support someone with a weak stance, unlike you.
It's completely sticking to my principles. Hell you're supporting McCain, yet you didn't know he was weak on immigration, his plan will increase the deficit more than Obama's, or that he was rated extremely poor on the 2nd.
Well Obama's plan actually lowers taxes for more people than McCain's, do you know anything other than what is parroted by McCain's site?

Ahh yes voting on party line, nothing to do with the candidate. Thanks for showing without a doubt it's nothing to do with McCain being the 'best' man of the job, but everything to do with the 'party'.
I am, McCain is not a 'better man' far from it.
Oh yes because I showed both of you wrong on multiple items about the man you support 'that's just getting in a fight'.

    Interesting...
A high horse, yet you posted..

What makes you think that comment was pointed to you?

It actually was not pointed to you FYI..

BTW both will lead to the 'shit hole' you are speaking of, voting for either like the rest of the masses when you do not fully support either is only making certain it happens.
'Easy' because you are supporting the 'popular' candidate of one of the 2 main parties. 'Brainwashed' yes, when you don't even know simple facts of the candidate you support. If you're going to argue for a candidate, especially in a debate forum, while bashing the other you should know something that is true about him/her.

Bashing one for instance of 'record deficit' when in fact your own candidate is the one who will lead to a larger deficit according to the experts is a sure sign of 'brain washing' in my book. Either that or ignorance, which would you prefer?

Of course there is going to be some compromise. When Republicans however for instance bring up false hoods for why they support McCain, items that go against key items of why they would support someone, it goes much further than 'compromise'.

BTW I don't support every item of RP's ideas, that is 'compromise'
