Hello everyone, I just bought my first refurbished laptop, and first laptop overall. I bought it at NewEgg.com While I am impatiently waiting for it to arrive, I'd like to ask you a couple of questions: 1. Will the package I receive be almost as new? Will I receive an HP box, everything packed in those plastic bags etc? Or will it just be some simply put there? 2. I am not sure I understand this. The question is if I will receive an adapter? Here's what NewEgg.com says on their website: Open Box Item Return Policy [...] If you purchase an Open-Box product you will receive an OEM BAREBONE item, meaning you will only receive the item itself. Accessories are NOT INCLUDED with Open-Box products, even if the missing accessory is required for the item to function properly.[...] However, under laptop specifications, it is said that it includes the adapter. On the other note, when I click "more images", I see this message above the pictures: The pictures shown are from the NEW version of this item. The manufacturer Recertified product may differ in packaging and accessories, but will usually be comparable with new versions. On occasion accessory items may or may not be included, and/or substituted. Accessories are shown in the pictures so that customers will know what may be missing. The adapter is on the picture. Will I get it? Thank you all very much. Regards, Bob
I called NewEgg.com, they said that they couldn't guarantee, but the laptop SHOULD and probably will come with everything as new one (including remote control, headphones etc). Also, on their website, there are pictures of the item where it says "Pictures of NEW item are shown; if you are buying refurbished item, something may be missing. The things that are on the picture WILL be shipped" Adapter is on the picture.
newegg is a good company to buy from. However, if they say it won't come with some items, it probably won't.
