I have a site that sell traffic school nation wide. Now it is important to get a ton of traffic...reason being that somewhere down the line if a person gets a ticket they will remember my site and return. So what the the best ways to get U.S. traffic to my site? I already rank high in the SERP's. How else....paid and unpaid. Also I already have PPC campaigns on all major networks.
There are basically two good ways to drive traffic. And I'm talking about quality (converting) traffic: 1. SEO 2. PPC (mostly AdWords, but you can experiment with Yahoo and MS AdCenter as well). In the long run SEO pays better obviously.
Right Im all over the PPC.....but as far as SEO what is the best way to send traffic.....through link exchange, blogs, forums, article sub.....and dont say all of them! I know some people get a ton of traffic from digg...but I dont. Do I write do crazy article and digg it to drive traffic to my site? Should i buy banners or into directories like joeand or botw?
I would vote for article submission. It has two advantages: 1. Quality backlinks that will help a lot in the long term (for a better SERP). 2. Almost instant traffic (submit to the best article directories and your content will be indexed and ranked well). Blog commenting for traffic - not worth it (too much time, almost no traffic). Link exchanges - could bring good traffic, but Google doesn't like link exchanges so don't over do it. Forum signatures - could drive a decent traffic, outsource it if you ask me (buy signatures for cheap on related forums, don't post).
Unfortunately the answer is 'all of them'. You need to vary your link building strategies to get the most seo benefits. If you just focus on one or two strategies, it likely won't be enough to get decent rankings. Try nearly any strategy you come across and then go back and redo all the strategies that seemed to work well. Certain strategies will work better for certain niches.
joeant and botw won't help you much. Read my post about when to go for Paid directories. PM me with more info about your site and I may be able to help you. Pushkar
1. Build good backlinks 2. Provide unique content 3. Update daily 4. Promote 5. Promote more 6. Promote even more
Get put on each States list of qualified traffic schools. Then make sure your home page has your price and a quick compelling message about your offer. When I had to take traffic school that's where I found the website. I bounced through the State's list until I found one at the right price that let me take the test as fast as I could.
Maybe you should update your blog. JoeAnt.com is cached in Google. And what has the cache of Google to do with driving traffic to a site? Hugo
Post to your blog daily with original content and researched key phrases that receive tons of traffic & don't have much competition and your website is sure to do great! I use the free Google Keyword Tool to preform most of my keyword research and have done great for all of my websites.
It really depends on whats best for you. Everyone has a method which works best for them, but it may not be best for you. Also, it depends on the type of website you're running. SEO is a proven method, but slowest. PPC Advertising, and links are one of the best methods(for me?) to drive targeted audience.
Have you tried Social Bookmarking sites? Submit your site in couple of bookmarking sites like digg, stumble upon, etc.. It's one of the best way to get good traffic.
there are a 101 factors on seo and SE rankings. so better do a balanced approach rather than focusing on 1 or 2 methods.
Definitely all of the above and more. Basically, get anchored links from any place that you can think of. One good way to do this is looking at backlinks of your competitors and figure out way to get links from those sites.
write some good articles for your website and submit the article some more quality article submission sites.
