I have a perfectly capable laptop that can run games but I'm just wondering will it affect my laptop in the future being it is only a shared graphics card? The game is rFactor by the way. Thanks
It shouldn't unless it overheats or something. Just keep doing the general maintenance that would be required if you were using it for other things.
Naaa that will not harm in any way unless the game has viruses. So you should prefer original cd my friend....
I have the original CD as I got it from a store yesterday, was free with another product and the lap top in on a wooden surface that is pretty cool and nothing is covering the fans so all I was concerned about was damaging any software/hardware with the pressure of gaming on a laptop.
Yeah, just as long as you are only installing known bug-free software it should be perfectly fine. Most laptops are built to not overheat. Also, overclocking is when you can risk having major problems. Most hardware is never actually allowed to be pushed to its limits unless you overclock it, so I would imagine you are fine from all sides.
If you use your laptop for playing game it will have effect on its durability. the key board may not work properly. One of my friend had same problem.
I am having a hard time understanding what you are asking here. Do you want to know if you have enough power in your laptop to run a particular game, or are you asking if you need a new graphics card because you have a shared card, or are you asking if gaming on a laptop will cause damage to the machine?
Gaming with laptop? For me I don't want to use the laptop for gaming because it might get overheated, and the maintenance of laptop is very hard than desktop computer.
Your CPU and Ram will get a work out it may shorten the overall lifespan of your computer but no short term problems
These are the replies that I was expecting and the reason why I won't be playing games on my laptop. I have insurance on the laptop anyway, so maintenance and replacements are covered for.
Keep the back propped up even on the table, just because the fans aren't covered doesn't mean its getting good ventilation. And don't ever play for a long period of time with it on your lap - not only will that burn your legs but it is terrible for the airflow.
