I love movies a lot, and probably spend way too much time watching them. My favoirite genre has to be science fiction and fantasy and in those genres my favorite movies are Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Blade Runner, The Fifth Element, TRON, Serenity and Labyrinth. I'm also a fan of classics like Casablanca nd the Maltese Falcon and some of the old mystery movies.
Tron is pretty sweet - I heard that it was taken of the shelves in retail stores due to a national security issue.. If so, what a bunch of bull how the govt controls what we can watch. BS I actually just watched a nice classic the other day on TMC (turner classic movies). It was from 1952. It was called The Captive City It's about the mafia / gambling / corrupt police and a hit n run which was actually a murder. it was pretty sweet but at the very end there was some official explaining the dangers of gambling and on and on. It was interesting how that tactic was being used in the 50's. It shows how movies and TV can be used to influence viewers. good stuff.
im about ready to watch The Seeker - I just picked it up at blockbuster on a random stop by. well see if its my new favorite movie.
Bram Stokers Dracula, Point Break, Cape Fear, Batman Begins, Escape from New York, The Jackel, There Something about mary and The Last Boy Scout.

I love the movie "The Prince of Egypt" It's a sweet movie about the story of Moses in the bible. The music and the storyline are rivetting and the message is pretty powerful as well.
