048.net was reported stolen a few days ago, member domainci" here just made a thread for appraisals at the same time.

335.com - owned by the same person as above and asked for appraisals at he same time

25f.com - was just offered this from someone who signed up and PM'd he here just now, he wanted $40 by Paypal ... Ryan0124 owned this and got charged back I believe

Just thought we should all stay safe!

Well, nothing's really secure if you think about it. Can you completely secure
    your car, your house, etc?

That's why it's important to check. You never know what might happen.

Learn from this. And hope it gets resolved somehow.

I don't have the time to go into details on the subject because a quick forum or Google search can do it justice.

    A brief idea...

Sometimes mailing services have minor exploits, like e-mail's expirying over a certain time, allowing someone to register the e-mail when it expires and if it's the same e-mail as the registrar, do a forgotten password, and boom they are in.

Keyloggers, and other virus attacks when you download stuff.

Phishing attempts, I am sure you know what they are...GoDaddy and mailing service phishing attempts are also common.

Guessing passwords. Try to have a password that is a combination of numbers and letters, as well as capitalize, or even punctuation if possible. I stick to a password similar to "1o3Etoo0" because I have it memorized but if your really worried, you could have something like"xA901$$*(0P:;'sceaDCA.{"

Hope I cleared it up a little.

If you are sincerely concerned, do a little research.

    Ok. Should be like this.

I got a email from a guy asking to buy this domain for 5k. Included in the email is a link to a site. The link is
    http://resimarsivlerim.com/048_sale_domain.html
    Code (markup):
So i clicked on the link to see and i think somehow he manage to get my email password through this method.

Luckily, after a few hour passed, i try to login my godaddy account to check on my bidding on some domain at the domain aftermarket. I found i couldn't login. I try the password retrieval method where the password reset will be send to my email account. Tried several time and i still could not get the email. So i check the whois on 048.net and found it had been changed.
So i quickly call godaddy support to send me my login password to my email.
He tried to send me the email but i still could not get it. After checking my spam mail, safe mail etc, i found that my emails are all forwarded to this email .

After i remove the forwarding, i manage to get the password email from godaddy. So when i login to my account, i found this domain is gone.

Hope everybody learn from this incident of mine and not click on any link on an email.
