This means that earlier you have typed incorrect words or key phrases in google search box. That is why Google behave like this. After few hours it will be correct.

Is it not doing the same when you open the Google search page in your browser and make a search???

If it is give it 24 hrs and the thing should reset. Normally happens when Google gets large amount of queries from a particular IP. It is Google's way of blocking spam and automated requests.

The process usually involves one computer asking a user to complete a simple test which the computer is able to generate and grade.

I think i have much experience with this problem and not able to solve it till now because this problem occur due to some firefox plugins like : SEO for Firefox, SEO Quake and few others.

These plugins do regular query with google when do perform any search and due to it Google ask for Capcha Verification. Earlier i was not able to believe on it but when i removed these plugins and performed search then everything was fine. But as you know without these plugins we can't do work so we have to use them and also have to face Google Captcha verification.

So i am sure you are also using some firefox plugins due to them u r facing this problem..............

In order to minimize the problem make sure to use the plugins only when needed. That will keep your number of queries down.

I don't even use Google ToolBar, why don't you just search in FireFox, at the upper right corner? Seems to work better for me...

Yes I have had this happen too. It can be annoying typing in the captcha every time you do a google search. I think it might be because I have a software which does search results for me and I think it is what's causing google to have this reaction.
