Most entrepreneurs and small businesses in a down market cut services and people. I suggest increasing your ad campaigns by 50% during down times when others are cutting back. Yeah, it's bold but also a smart strategy because competitors have cut their services and the market is prime for you to take what those cutting are giving up. Not only that but advertisers cut deals with great pricing because everyone else is cutting. It becomes and investment not an expense, you get a lot more ads for your money. I watch this strategy work every day online. What's your level of belief in your product? See you at the top!
Well, remember too that lots of people will be losing their jobs in a down market and will turn to the internet to try and make ends meet. This includes SEM and eBay marketing, etc.... The competition could very well get even stiffer!
Hey... that's cool, I'm in the neighborhood just behind Roswell off Roswell road. I just moved out of Dunwoody which we loved but have a house now. rick
Actually, I've seen some downturns before and people get scared about their jobs, esp losing as much in their 401s as many have so they look for additional ways to make money. We developed new and cheap advertising and we're expecting this downturn to be good for us.
