    Code (markup):
This is my web directory. Estibot appraises it at $2,700. Is this an accurate appraisal? It's almost 7 months old, PR2, and has tons of visitors per day. Please check it out and let me know. The Estibot link is below:

When you say you get tons of traffic, are you saying that because EstiBot says so or because your AWSTATS says so?

Don't base your domains value off of EstiBot.com (They even say so on the site; test some random names to see so for yourself)

If you really do get that kind of traffic, it is possible but would mostly depend on the CTR/revenue the domain gets.

The domain as a domain is junk.

Yeah, personally I dont see that kind of value in it. The most valuable part is probably the PR. I'd put it at 100USD, max. Reasonably, probably somewhere around 70USD.

bot appras is not accurate at all, you can't never count on them, however estibot counts on many factors determining your domain value, one of them could caused this value

Of course, they even stated that the domain is worth 'reg fee' but it is worth as he quoted based on traffic stats *if they are correct*

My site gets near 400 UV each day. Does that bring the price to $x,xxx?

Still, no. As most appraisal web sites over appraise by up to 10x (Don't even start about GoDaddy's, crazy!)

However, it is possible if the revenue is very high, otherwise it's still just a low quality domain/site but the traffic can get you a little bit.

I have never seen any appraisal bot that under appraises, but I have seen some that give fairly accurate results for certain names. For intsance, estibot appraised LLL.com sales to the dollar in the past.

Smart Page Rank is appraising the domain value mostly from the page rank and in my opinion is over appraised. It is freezing for me when I check other names but test a random page rank domain like I think random-link.com

You directory is pretty new and not that much work has been put into it

Smart Page Rank's PR is broken. It doesn't appraise off PR

the bot appraisals are useful because they provide useful insights about the domains like PR/Traffic/Overture/ etc but most of the times its a hit miss thing...

Bot appraisals are useless as others have stated. A good rule is a site is worth 10-12 times it's monthly revenue. Add more if you have particularly good content, traffic etc.

Estibot is good in my opinion, as an initial tool to consult for info on PR/Traffic/Overture/ (pretty much as Serial Coder said). You still need to follow up with more in depth analysis and to confirm some of those stats.
