I am a webmaster and dont have any advertising on my website.

I decided yesterday I am going to sign up with Adsense

    I was wondering....

How does the payment structure go for Adsense?

How much do you usually get per click?

    I know it probably varies....

Can someone give me a rundown on how much you get per click?

    Thanks!!!

A "rundown" would be of little value. So much depends on the type of site, ie the subject matter, where the visitors are from, etc, that you can't really take any guesses about click-worth with anything more than a grain of salt.

Even two clicks on the same ad on the same site can vary wildly depending upon when in the advertiser's campaign the clicks occur, where the visitor is from, and what phase the moon is.

Well, I usually get about $0.20 to $0.50 per click for most of my sites. It will depend on the keywords and topic that you write about.

The payment is structured so that you get a check in the mail or through electronic transfer when your account goes over 100$. Pay per click varies from niche to niche, my car sites average about .35 per click.

    Dino,

There are a lot of things to consider when using adsense. First and foremost, you need to experiment a lot. Because each website is different some things work well on one site and horribly on others. You'll find a lot of good info on adsense from google (it's in google's best interest to see you succeed). You just need to search for it.

    Some things to consider:
    Placement of ads
    Ad colors
Blending ads into content/make them stick out
    size of ads
    number of ads on page
what types of ads to use (link unit/video/text)

All these things will affect your earnings and there aren't any straight forward answers. I find that people click my ads when the stick out more. You might not find the same. Play around with all of those things and be patient. Set up ads in different channels and over the course of 8-10 thousand impressions make an informed decision about what works best.
