I am trying to successfully advertise my website and yet i find only very limited targeted traffic options, either advertising using the major search engines via ppc or ... I cant think of anything else i use. I was searching ebay for clicks and they charge like 20 bucks for like 1 million. How can I be successful selling via the internet. Give me some different ideas and techniques. Thanks

TBH, buying clicks isn't really much good, I've spent money on what were supposed to be targetted clicks from the US and, while I got the traffic boost, I got absolutely no business and a very very low CTR, something like 0.07%...
Srinivas is right in what he says, you need to optimise your page for SEO. Articles, Press Releases, make a Squidoo lens, a HubPage, submit it to Digg, Stumble Upon, ping services. All this will get you backlinks and help you in the search engine rankings.

also buy links, reviews etc from relevant websites. I.e if you run a website selling dresses buy some ad space from a fashion site.

    Greetings...

We're a 'video branding service' for YouTube. We download hundreds of videos from YouTube matching the keywords clients like you provide, and insert their ad into the beginning of the video clip and then re-upload it across our various YouTube accounts.

Thousands of YouTube viewers see these videos each hour, and as long as suitable keywords are provided, they visit the website advertised in the video ad.

This service is very inexpensive and we have even cheaper specials right now for testing. PM me if you're interested. Happy advertising!

If you want a lot of quality traffic on a daily basis, your only options are advertising, both off and online, and, word of mouth.

It's not seo, it's not signatures, it's not article marketing in directories, it's not blogging....

Noobs do this, which is why they have either a dead or a very slow site.

I always get a chuckle when I read or hear them say "I do very well..."

A few hundred hits a day, if that, and with a high bounce rate is not doing well at all. Shit, not even close.

Put ads in sites that have traffic that may like your site.

There is much more to it than that, but that's the bottom line.

Many different things you can do. I just launched a membership site with absolutely no cash, and picked up almost 400+ members in 3 days. I made blogs related to my niche, and did reviews of my site with links to it.

Submitted it to all kinds of search engines, youtube vids watermarked with my domain, and linked in description. Just be creative and try and think out-side-the-box.

You could set up a My*Space and get alot of friends who are looking to network, and send them messages to goto your site.

These are just some examples of what you "could" do.

GL and hope my rambleings were usefull, ;)

To add to what I had above you may want to do some article marketing as well, that will drive targeted traffic if you compose articles pertaining to your niche and or product and blast them to all the article directories!!

I was about to say the same thing.... Write some articles on your topic and find some sites either related to your site, or general article sites.

    Ezinearticles.com is one
    Infobarrel.com is another.
