what a shame...it's only 2 months old and i got a pr4 during the last pr update, and now it's all gone.

Owell, i don't give a **** about pr anymore, it's only traffic that matters.

This is the second rollback of PR, so something is definitely wrong at Google. I doubt you will stay a PR 0 for long. Once Google makes some corrections, the true/unflawed PR export will occur.

yikes, mine went from UR to PR4 on the birthday. last weekend it rolled back to unranked. then on monday PR4. today it's unranked again.

true, i think there's been some rollbacks to pre-google birthday conditions.

I haven't experienced any of this. My sites increased on the birthday weekend and have stayed solidly at their new level since. Why are some people experiencing this and not others?

Not sure why some people's PR are changing constantly lately whereas a lot of others (including me) have just kept at the PR we got on the Google birthday.

I have the impression that PR is changing more often than usual ey. A friend of mine had a new site immediately get PR 4, last week dropped to 3 and to be honest it's more like it.

Maybe it's getting updated more often now, only Google will know :p

Most of my sites have better pr now ( from 0 to 4, 3 to 4 etc ) and i believe quality backlinks is the golden key here.

    Just my 2 cents.

Thank goodness for this thread, I just got really nervous as my site dropped to 0. Hopefully things will be stable soon. It can be a little nerve wracking and make you think you did something wrong.

How are you checking? because I have noticed that when I use digpagerank to see the results of my sites, some of the data centers (around 4) show the old PR but the rest are either off or show the new PR. Do you get the same result?

My toolbar shows the new PR, but I did change the host file so the toolbar only checks a certain data center. (I did this a few updates ago and can't remember changing it back)

If you do not change the host file, I am not sure which data center the toolbar checks by default.
Maybe it is dynamic and if one of the data centers is off when it checks, it may switch to the next working data center, and that data center may be one of the 4 that are showing the old PR.

I have also noticed that when I use sweetfunnys PR checker it shows the new PR.

Maybe Google had a few to many Birthday drinks and forgot to pass the PR value to these 4 data centers.. I am sure they will pick it up soon, or maybe they will just wait till the next update before fixing it!?

    Cheers
    James

Its quite unfortunate that the PR for your site dropped to 0. :(

Had you done anything that would have made Google penalize you?

Same thing happened to two of my sites. I think its just the toolbar datacenter query is down. If you use that page rank checker at the link one of the posters above left, it displays the correct pr.

PR is still a moving target in most dcs. This is fourth time PR changed for my web site and still it's not the same in all DCs, so PR update hasn't completed yet.
