    How much traffic does MSN receive compared to Google?

    I set up a MSN adwords campaign and it doesn't deliver any traffic compared to big G!

    It's a known fact that significantly more people use google over msn
    but it's difficult to say exactly how much more traffic google receives.

    according to some estimates, google has a 60% global marketshare. the rest is made up of "the others"; mainly yahoo, msn, and aol

    I've noticed that sites with Google AdSense adverts don't generate much traffic from MSN (or LIVE)... I guess Microsoft filter these sites so they don't generate traffic to the competitors advertising campains.

    So.... take a look at tha content on these pages. Remove other affiliate programs and see if the traffic increase.

    I think very many people are using the msn searchengine without knowing it. Everyone searching in Messenger, in Windows and more. All people who could care less for the choice of the searchenging, wich is the majority of all people using a computer!

    ****
    Maybe removing other affiliats are not an option for you, but it may be the reason.

    Also;
    These gereal figures, that Google maybe has 60% of the market, they are very generic. You must look at the visitors to your specific site to get a relevant figures. Look at your business. It is more relevant!

    On a keyword that i rank number 1 in both google and MSN i get 6000 per day from google and 500 from MSN and live together. So that 8% is just about right.

    I have same problem with Msn / live. Google natural traffic increase day by day but Msn / Live traffic is constant. Is there any way to increase natural traffic from Msn / Live.

    I think in most cases if someone is getting more traffic from MSN than google it is simply because their site isn't listed on google (Banned perhaps?).

    9% of my search engine traffic is from MSN/Live. For the sake of comparison, Google is sending 58% of our SE traffic.

    MSN is very low on the totem pole compared to Google. I wouldnt count it out with wanting to advertise on there. I use Adcenter and see pretty good conversions. One thing that you have to remember is that a ton of people have MSN as there browser homepage and the cursor is set on the MSN search box before anything else. So people are searching MSN at some point or another.

    Percentage-wise, get yourself banned from Google.

    No one "MSNs" for information. Everyone Googles. So MSN is almost inconsequential.

    MSN traffic is probably 1/10 Google traffic, at the most. Sometimes I get lucky and get a site ranked #1 or #2 for a keyword in MSN, but barring that there's very little traffic.
