Hey guys, I just started my own article directory - http://www.articlestomp.com. I'm working on category changes and other twaks at the moment, but I wanted to invite you all to submit some articles to this directory. I plan on promoting this heavily, as well as loading up the directory with purely unique articles. I don't plan to have automatic submissions or any other spam-like way of gaining articles, just to get to some "big-number" like other rehased article directories out there. Anyway, if you're interested in sending some articles over, feel free to sign-up Quite the longshot, but maybe someday I'll get up to the power of EzineArticles
That's quite a goal you got there and that's not a bad thing. Ezines been around since 1999 though and they have quite some authority with Google.
Well, I know it's not gonna happen overnight. That's for sure Either way, I just enjoy article marketing as a whole and I would like to see a directory start out with peanuts and grow into an empire (well, that's the goal, anyway!)
Pls ensure ur articles will be having Buisness, Financial related categories that bring u more articles.
Good luck, mate Article directory is definitely a good idea as long as you let only quality articles enter your database. You'll surely reach a decent authority in article directory. I liked the look BTW. Cheers!
You have set a great goal, I hope you manage to complete it. I will submit some of my articles for your. Good luck! P.S. Can you please have a shorter review time then ezinearticles.com? But still maintain the quality that they do.
SEO Review: You should put social bookmarking buttons on your articles. You should make a better meta description. Remember the meta description is often the few lines of text that show bellow the link in google search results. Your current one is: You should update the meta keywords. Although they don't have much authority anymore you still should have a few in there. Don't go and dump all the keywords that you have come up with in your keyword research because this will allow your competitors to come and steel all your hard work. Just about 5 or 6 main keywords should be enough. Your current meta keywords are: Your sub pages should also have unique descriptions and keywords. Search engines may think www.articlestomp.com and articlestomp.com are two different sites. You should set up a permanent redirect (technically called a "301 redirect") between these sites. Once you do that, you will get full search engine credit for your work on these sites. You might consider renewing the domain name since it is set to expire in less then a year. You need to develop more inbound links. You should submit your site to the DMOZ directory and the yahoo directory. And again, you must try to add some social bookmarking buttons to each article. Update: Having signed up for an account. I was submitting an article, and found that you have no wysiwyg editor. If you could add one of these it would be great.
Whirlybird, thanks for digging deep into the site - I appreciate the honest review! I'm working on the meta description and keywords. Must not have saved on my last file transfer when I edited the code. I will be promoting this site heavily and developing inbound links once I get a few more kinks out. I really just wanted to introduce it here first, before I really get going on it. That way, users here at DP could do what you did for me, and that's point out the good and bad parts of it, which is what I was aiming for. As for the WYSIWYG editor - I plan on hiring a programmer to implement something like that in the site. Anyway, thanks again for the review!
If you are looking for a programmer, you came to the right place If you want, I can do this for you. That is, if you don't mind letting a 15 year old do it.
Nice looking article directory you have there, check out my site http://www.ReadEZArchive.com and you'll find an article directory elite topsites list, link exchange directory, free redistributable ebooks and more!
Just looking for some authors at the moment who are wanting to submit high-quality ariticles to the database Of course, feel free to review the article directory as well. It's not EzineArticles, but with some work, I'll make it to there (it'll be a long, tough road though )
Most articles are reviewed within 2-4 hours currently. Obviously, we won't be able to review them that fast once submission blow through to extremely elevated levels, but we will plan to approve articles at least within a day.
Good luck with achieving your goal. An article directory is one thing I have never tried. Do you read the all of the articles entirely for review...or is it more of a thing where most are approved? Seems like it would be very time consuming to ensure that you have all good content. Or perhaps you have editors working with you on it? Do you check or help with spelling corrections and grammar at all? I wonder about that sometimes too with articles. It could be a very useful service for those who have English as a second language.
I read through all articles to ensure that they are of high quality. I wouldn't mind correcting a few errors here and there, but if there are a huge noticeable about of spelling errors, I would most likely decline the article and have your (or someone) rewrite the article. I plan to also offer article writing services, as well as proofing and grammer services in the future, once this gets up and off the ground. This would be a fairly cheap service that is affordable to all, and would save a lot of time for people who don't have the time or money to find a freelancer themselves to outsource the work to.
Thanks! Fixed a few things, added some more categories, and will be implementing the bookmarking toolbar to each article tonight. Got a few signups as well. Feel free to join up as an author!
