With all the mess that's going on right now, is there anyway that we could lose our money from our accounts?

    Continued Success,

Recently I looked through some statistics and spoke with my friends that are working in big companies with payment processing and security and I can say for sure that we have a big increase in PP stolen accounts and PP fraud payments. The first place for security again goes to Russian payment processing system - WebMoney. (I am not promoting it:)

    Paypal is fine....

They are owned by Ebay, and Ebay's stock rarely declines. And Paypal has the best money policy.

I still prefer to be payed with checks however.

Paypal is safe upto a level. There are many loopholes in the Paypal system that have to be corrected. Though there are a lot of problem regarding safety most of the people still use Paypal. :)

The only way you can get your funds locked or your account locked is by doing something wrong, many people try to scam people and other things then get there accounts locked and come back here groveling saying how bad the service was.

    My opinion "Grow Up".

Read PP's terms of use and privacy policy and get over yourself and stop trying to scam people, yes there are idiots that think its cool to hack accounts and then use all the money in the account but in the end that person gets caught and the owner of the account will soon get there money back.

The only thing wrong with paypal is the people using it. I have had my business account for almost 3 yeas now and have never had any problems, yeah I have gotten paid with fake accounts but as paypal said that was not my fault I was just selling a service so they fixed the problem.

so what you're saying is that PP is safe, and we don't have to worry about losing our money like the banks are. I had read somewhere that we needed to be concerned about this so that was the reason for my question.

Paypal is a safe processing system I believe....hardly any problems. Yes there are going to be some loopholes that does need to be corrected, but no system out there is foolproof so expect some type of problems. As ryandanielt said "grow up" and take full responsibility for your actions. Paypal locks the accounts to not only protect themselfs but also to protect the account holder.

As I said paypal is as safe as you entering your credit card to order a pizza off of PizzaHut.com.

Honestly, I don't think PayPal is safe. There are too many chargebacks, and it's not really hard for someone to actual make a chargeback. PayPal is basically the payment system for scammers.

Use MoneyBookers instead. It is chargeback-free. www.Moneybookers.com (I'm not promotiong it)
