I had another question in discussion. I did not find any thread on this especially related to SEO. Does moving from Blogger to Wordpress, improve SEO factors? Does this matter? is wordpress much better in SEO than blogger?
Both are equal as i am running my blog on both platform. the difference is earning revenue. word press does not allow you to put any referral link or adsense code while in blogger you can do it very easily. after all money is honey...
are you planning to get a domain name with hosting a wordpress blog or just open a new blablabla.wordpress.com? when it comes to blogs hosted as subdomains it's always hard to work on seo. websites with relevant domain names are always going to be listed before you on the SERPS.
Hey Azher, I don't think this is correct. Wordpress too allows you to put referral links and Adsense code in it. Rather, its much better and flexible to do it in wordpress than in blogger. I think you haven't yet explored wordpress properly.
I dont think subdomain can be barrier in SEO if it is wordpress and blogger. I am having two successfull blog with first page on Google with highly targeted keyword.
Yes, true. sub domain really don't matter much. anyways Azher, I saw the link in your signature, when i check the keywords meta tag in it, its stuffed with plenty of keywords. is this working? how much traffic do you get on the SEO site?
I think you dint got me properly or might unaware of wordpress.com and wordpress.org. In wordpress.com you are not allowed to put any commercial link and in wordpress.org you should have your own domain and hosting. they will provide you a HTML source and you should implement it in your blog or website and you can use adsense and referral links. hope you will get my concern...
Affirmative. Now i understood what you said. Yeah, in wordpress.com and org, that problem is there. what i was talking about was having wordpress on our own domain and self hosting. That anyways can be manipulated as we want.
Its not stuffed it is in limit like 400 to 500 character. and yes it is working but not in google any more.
If you are referring to a self-hosted Word Press blog, it is better for SEO because it allows many more options to improve SEO. It is much easier to brand a real domain over a sub-domain. It also looks and appears more professional. However, I have had four blogger blogs and I have had two of them hit number one for my search terms. It depends on your skills and the time you invest. If you are referring to the wordpress.com blogs, Azher is correct, you can not put Adsense or many other ads on them. As far as the advantage of blogger over Wordpress.com or vice versa, I see none in the terms of SEO.
no doubt about it, but if you had a proper domain name for each one of them you probably rank better.
