I dont get it, never will. How exactly does one get to the top of google? And how much does one charge? What are some recommendations for the cheapest qualitiest SEO service? (non blackhat) I tried the whole Brad callen SEO software last year but didn't understand it Thanks in advance
Sometimes using software will limit you to learn the real world of SEO. It is much better if you do SEO techniques and process manually.Through this, you will be able to see and feel the real thing. Getting to the top of the google is a loooongg process. It takes time I tell you yet, very rewarding once you reached the top. Just continue getting relevant and quality links and make your site content worthy to read and attract loyal visitors. Basically, that's what SEO is. About the charging, hmm. I have no idea.
Here is a 60 Second Course: Find 20 low competition but medium search volume keywords and phrases using a good keyword research tool. 1. For each web page, use a specific key phrase that describes the theme of that page. 2. Use the key phrase in an H1 tag (only one H1 tag per page). 3. Some where in the content of the page, use the key phrase only once and make it bold using a STRONG tag. 4. Use the key phrase in the TITLE tag. 5. Use the key phrase once in META description tag. 6. Put an image and use the key phrase in title and alt attributes of the IMG tag. 7. Use at least the width attribute of the IMG tag. 8. Turn the key phrase into a hyphenated word and use it for the image file name. 9. Create goog contents that others will love to link
Haha thanks all but I don't know what your talking about. Maybe I will just hire somebody. Wow starting a website is expensive.
Quite honestly, you can get to page one in a few days if you know what you are doing. Of course not for really competitive keywords, that takes a bit longer. For example using rss to drive backlinks is a quick way to get dramatic rankings. Checkout my blog I have a heap of free content on there showing how to do it. I'll give you two pieces of advice. 1. Learn and use web 2.0 sites (squidoo.com, etc). And then specifically learn about the importance of tags. 2. Learn and use rss (for website promotion, not for reading news, etc). If you can master these two things alone (grab all the free stuff on my blog) you will go a long way towards great website rankings. So long as you're prepared to learn and experiment and try new things, you can have great success. You just have to be willing to give it a try and not necessarily believe all the people who tell you "It can't be done" or it takes months to learn how to do it, and get to page one. This isn't true. An example is I recently got involved in a major affiliate promotion. Started out with a brand new domain. It got to page 1 in 28 hours (all documented in video). The page is still on page 1 a month later. 22 days after buying this brand new domain, it is now page rank 4 on multiple pages (I do not rate page rank that highly if you read my other posts, but I know other people do rate page rank highly which is why I am mentioning it). Many people will tell you both of the above is impossible. I'm telling you not only is it possible, but I've personally done it. I hope this inspires you to go for it and make it happen! I wish when I was first starting out that there had been someone like me telling me to do this type of thing, but there wasnt and it took me a long time to figure this out for myself. Anyway I'm rambling now. Best of luck.
SEO at the highest level is extremely complicated, that is for very competitive keywords. Nevertheless, pure and massive link building is still the main factor for ranking high.
Thanks tim buchkla. I am going to look into your blog I have a website, surprisingly, that is very pointless and made it on collegehumor.coms hotlinks the day i registered it and it was indexed in five seconds. But the website I am trying to promote is not collegehumor worthy
I thought tags is not as important as it used to be? The source of article i found at http://squidutils.com/blog/lens-building/squidoo-tags-have-no-seo-effect Code (markup):
Start your SEO with long-tail keywords that have a fair amount of searches. By doing this you gain experience and start to see results pretty quickly.
