The guy who created the system (zortag) felt they devalued the overall link value, but as I said, he's rethinking that strategy. When sub domains are introducted the number of sites will dramatically increase. I think he will also allow people to reject subs if they don't want them llinking in to you. But for me, if the sites relevant and quality - sub or not, I'll take it.

I don't know about others, but I have loads of subs on a few domains. So if I'm a typical member, the number of sites could go up by a factor of 10 just with the same membership.

Just heard that subs are now allowed into the system. That's great news for me. So I'll be spending some time adding my subs.

So I conclude from this that the included code for generating outbound links is not javascript.

    Correct.

There are code snippets for PHP, JSP, Cold fusion and ASP. There's also variations for sites hosted on Godaddy which require slightly different set up.

Just wanted to let anyone on the fence know that I am getting organic traffic from clicks on these backlinks. AND, my daily adsense from these sites in the system is on the up.

Checked for indexed links today, and I have 4 in yahoo on one of my sites, and thats with no effort other than adding the site to the system.

    Things are looking good.

    Will report on any changes

Is there a paid only option - where I can buy the links, but not have to install the software on my web site? I could go for that.

No 'buying links option'. Its a monthly sub of just under $20.

But you have to add a little code snippet to one of your site pages, but you can reject links if you want, so you can 'cherry pick' - it's up to you.

After you add you sites into the system it's all automated. It really is set and forget, and thats whats so cool about it.

It just boils down to how much you think your time is worth.

Remember, once your sites are in the system, it does all the work for you. It finds you new backlinks all the time with no work on your part. Were you to do that manually by writing articles, posting on social sites, link exchanging, buying links etc, it would take you much time and effort.

As I said, this really is set and forget.

Just had my site approved i will let you know how it goes...
the way i look at it is if i get 10-20 relevant links for $20 per month growing monthly then its well worth it.
You can pay that on this site for 1 very poor value link that will more then likely be de cached within the month...

If I could just pay the $20 a month and get links without having to link to other sites, then I would do it. But my understanding is you MUST host links on your site. That is a deal breaker for me.

Remember, the links aren't reciprocal. Yes you link out coz thats where the inbound links come from, but you don't get links in from the same sites. No circular linking with this.

If you leave the system ALL your backlinks dissapear. Your website MUST be indexed by Google first to participate, and finally, You can only get relavant links from all URLS which are members in the site "network"

    ILL PASS......

Give me unlimited RELAVANT AND HIGHLY PR'ed links from the entire web and dont put me under any restrictions to stay in the system!

Heck, all I want are relevant links - no PR is fine as long as they are cached in Google.

I think there's a 100 site limit for each member

Your links will disappear from the other people's websites, but any indexed links you had in the SE's will stick around for a while until they eventually drop out. So the indexed links won't disappear overnight

That sounds good. You are seeing how many links in Yahoo? All 400?

400 or so in NL, but actually more in the SE's that I check (Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask). Some backlinks appear in all 4 SE's, others (mostly) only feature in Yahoo for some reason. I don't know why, but Yahoo seems to love them. I have around 300 in Yahoo, 50 or so in Google, around 80 in Ask and about the same in MSN, so around 500 or so indexed in total.

It's really working better than I had expected.

Before I started adding any sites in NL, I had around 60 backlinks across the 4 SE's so in around 8 weeks or so, they've grown considerably.

    Do you use NL yourself?
