Yep I'm sure the downtime is awesome! I spend less then $20/month on a reseller plan. Something I learned about hosting is that you get what you pay for.
nah, I'm actually looking for some recommendations. Moving my accounts away from hostgator. At maximum, 2 years ago, I had 4-5 dedicated servers and another 5-10 shared/vps accounts with various companies, was close to $1k/month in hosting bills. Most of those projects were closed, so now it's just down to a VPS and 6-8 shared accounts, mostly with hostgator. I'm not even sure how many exactly heh. I think it's about $100 per month. But I'm looking for a reliable hosting now. I was traveling last month and while I was away hostgator disabled 2 of my accounts for some reason and all the sites were offline for 2 weeks. They don't enable until you fix the problem.
I would recommend you not to go with hosting providers like midphase, hostgator, etc. since all of them resort to false advertising, not transparent. Go with a hosting provider whom you can personally be in touch via email or phone and who does not oversell accounts.
