    Is Digitalpoint profitable for its Owner ?
    I think he need a big server to manage this server, as well as some network security staffs to prevent hackers.

    What you think ?

    Yes, profitable.
    Yes, server security and safety is a basic for webmasters.
    I guess it need a single high-performance server to run DP forum, since there are 200 000+ members.

    I'm sure they make up that $20,000 gap and some with adsense
    the traffic would certainly agree.

    either way, the donations are not finished yet. by the end of the year, a majority of the gap shall be covered by donations.

    If DP wasn't profitable, Shawn wouldn't be running it for these 5 years.

    I've heard that Shawn gets close to $20K/month from Adsense alone. Shawn is a coder and does a lot more than just DP and eBay cookie stuffing :D

    Sort of a no brainer ;) Of course its profitable, why else would he continue to run it?
    And yes he's pretty slick with security too. You won't see any c99's around here.
