Hi, I have static traffic but I want to improve, any tips? Random colors work? Text, Image ads? Thanks, Metros.
After 2359 posts, you should already know all there is to know. Use the forum search function. There are probably hundreds of similar threads.
Try placing your ads under the hot spots. Text ads work good when blended within the content. Try using text and image ads for a week and check the CTR. Experimenting is the best solution!
Hotspots: google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=17954 and I get better CTR with image only ads
There are a lot of ways to improve ctr. Make your site revolting to users so they want to leave it Offer very few links above the fold so they're only option are an ad or the back button Make the ad stand out Or if that doesn't work make the ad blend in etc. Every site is different so different things work for different people.
better searching thru this forum will get better tips to improve better ctr. single tips better content>better ctr
No. I think you'll get more success if you blend the ads to the background color of the site rather than using random colors.
Maybe he means multiple palettes (randomly rotating) which is good way to increase CTR. Another fast way to jump CTR is to remove ads from low-performing pages (use URL channels over at least a few weeks to weed out the low-CTR pages)
here's a few quick tips to improve CTR! 1) Use large rectange ads in the middle of your site/article surrounded by content, 2) Use text ads, 3) Blend properly with the site, like same ads background and border color as your site, If the ads are same as your site content then the CTR improves naturally, so add more content, and use section targeting etc if required,
try and learn use all types of ads and keep changing them after few days and then figure out which pattern of ads got clicked most My tip - leaderboard ads have very poor click through rate
I'd say whatever you do be mindful of Google TOS. Its easy to get carried away and break TOS by mis-placing ads. You will lose your Adsense from your sites if Google finds out.
Hi, Well, no clue what's new for you, but I am with Adsense for few years now. I used images only and got the worse pay's ever..
Have you checked also whether the ads served at your site are relevant? Use preview tools to find out and use section targeting to overcome this.
I prefer to use text ads. Try different ad units like, 336*280 or 250*250 etc, and put them in different ad placements. Try different combinations of ad units and ad placements to see which one gives you the best CTR.
I think this depend on the content and layout of the site. what work in one site might not work with other. try to do experiment is the best way.
For me I changed placements, colors and number of adunits in a page. Then I figured it out that what suits my blog. Then It started to get some clicks but not much considerable. So I have to work hard on it too. Hope you will do a best.
Hi, Yeah, mostly relevant, tho it seems that Adsense is all ways change their system (maybe to test target ads) but mostly I get good related ones.
