dude seriously for $12 I wouldnt bother promoting your product, increase the price to $37 dollars then offer 75% commission you;ll certainly get affiliates then!! You can approach internet marketing with a brick and mortar philosophy!!

$37 would be too much I feel, especially as you can buy a decent hard copy book from the pet store for $15-$20. I need to add value to the product before I can justify that price I feel which I will be doing but one step at a time.

As I have already said I will be testing different price points but from the feedback I have already had where I asked people how much they thought it was worth $15-$20 was the most popular answer.

You gotta keep in mind too that yes I can put the price up to $37 but sales drop you would probably end up making less money than at $18.

I take your point that affiliates still need more to get promoting. However I already have quite a few affiliates on board at this price and commission and several have asked me not to increase the price for the same reasons I have just stated.

For now I want to see how these affiliates do and how they convert. No point rushing in to anything and increasing the price to get loads of affiliates on board only to find the product no longer sells. One step at a time and constant analysis is my approach.

Thanks for your feedback though :)

Investawise I agree with you. Stay strong and keep with your price. You have to price your product to your market keeping affordability in mind. Yes maybe you won't have as many affiliates, but you can still easily market it yourself especially with limited competition in the turtle niche. Think about it until some duplicates your product; you have a monopoly and can set the price at whatever you like.

Thanks Chickut - I strongly believe in testing so I will try different price points but as I say I did my research and even gave the guide to 300 people for free so I could survey people and get a few pointers for how to market the product including the price.

I will never rule out increasing the price but will also not increase the price until I am sure it is worth trying and I have enough data to compare it back to at a cheaper price.

Update: I have now improved the sales page and created a more traditional Clickbank one-pager.

I am confident this will improve conversion rates even further and so all Clickbank traffic will now go to this new page: http://www.turtleguidebook.com/buy-now1.html

    :)

too much raw text in the beginning mate. break it up with some graphics or move some of your bulletpoints (add some nice checkmarks) to under the first fold to make them read further. it's a bit hard to read at the moment.

has your hop link changed by the way?

Thanks for the feedback I will see what I can do :)

No hop link should be the same.

Quite a few sales so far, not going to reveal an exact number but lets just say its more than 20 but less than 50....traffic is still building.

I was working on setting up my pages for promoting your product.
But was really put off and have decided not to go ahead with it.
    Why??
Because you've put the "affiliate" link right on the top right hand side!!!!!
While this is good for you...
    I personally avoid such publishers...
Can you please be a LOT more subtle about the affiliate link??

Point 1: Remove the affiliate link on the top of the page completely. Delete it.

Point 2: Put the affiliate link at the bottom of the page on the right hand side and make the fonts for it a lot more smaller.

    Just my 2 cents..

Mmm yeah I hate this too, it kinda shows that you are concerned the same with members as getting affiliates, if you are a webmaster u will always look for affiliate link at bottom, i always do if i like the product...

Fair point, I wasnt sure about it myself so I have removed it now and only left the affiliate link in the footer.

Hope that will mean you continue to work on a site and promote my product :)

Let me know if you need any help

Has anyone gotten a sale from this???

CB Marketplace stats show nothing. Pub claims more than 20 sales as of yesterday...why is nothing showing up in the stats?

There are no affiliate generated sales as of yet, the sales that have been made have been from my own campaign, which I have just found out do not show as affiliate sales when the publisher and affiliate is on the same account.

There are only a few affiliates sending more than a handful of sales so far and Im not sure where that traffic is coming from and how targeted it is but it seems most people are still building there campaigns and are yet to send much traffic.
