How do you guys (publishers) create those fake ebook covers on the sales page. Do you create them from scratch in Photoshop, or is there some kind of software/template with which you could easily make a book cover with the press of a few buttons?
Well, coveractionpro is kind of outddated. There are much beter scripts out there now to use in photoshop or stand alone programs. Personal if you are just doing a simple box you can make it pretty fast in photoshop free hand and no scripts. Sorry I am at a computer away from home right now otherwise I would give you the name of a script I highly recommend.
Some people just hire a designer to design it for them. You can find a good designer for cheap in the cyberspace you know
If you want a good site for cheap, then go to eCoverbox.com. Outstanding customer service and work. If you have some cheddar to spend, then go to DesignGururyan.com Or.... do it yourself with Photoshop.
Spam? CS1, CS2 or CS3 required anyway Any other stand alone program? (I mean without any requirement)
Hey Lastbutnotleast, wasn't trying to 'spam' - Just think eCoverSuiteElite is good software Anyway, I found a stand alone program (which you don't even have to download) at 3d-pack.com It's free to use. Enjoy!
if Still you didn't find what you looking for PM me (-: I have action files for PS ready to run what I use (-:
The 3d pack is really neat i didn't even know that existed. I've really learned a lot of neat things joining this forum that i didn't know before. its great.
Pov-Ray is also very user unfriendly. A steep learning curve and for someone who has such a simple one time task. Probably not the right choice
I really recommend http://www.coveractionpro.com/ for people who own Photoshop. For those who want a stand alone software, you can check out : http://www.deluxeray.com/
