Hi everyone, i am selling replica watches online and 3 days ago i noticed that my site is offline. I contacted the registrar and they said they have received a DMCA(copyrights) Notification about my domain and since it goes against their UAP the domain has been suspended permanently. I already emailed them that i will remove any Copyright/Trademark content from my site but they dont seems to care. Can they do that ? What can i do to get them to unsuspend the domain? ANY advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
i think they mean your domain have a copy righted name like www.google-money.com www.casio-watches.com
Is the the text/images of your site unique? Are you selling knock offs of brand name products and infringing on the owners trademark? Just throwing out some guesses, impossible to say what you are doing wrong without seeing the site.
If the terms and conditions that you agreed to say that they can suspend your account for copyright and/or trademark violations (which you seem to be acknowledging was an issue on your site), they are within their rights. No one here can answer your specific question, however, without knowing the details of the terms and conditions you agreed to, and the content of your site.
Bearing in mind the site linked to by his siggy, he certainly is selling replicas, yes. Although ofc that isn't the suspended site, if he's selling em there he'll be selling them @ the suspended site.
I am selling replica watches, and it does say in their term and con' that they can suspend it, but i never thought that they will permanently suspend it, i thought they will just maybe kick me out and i can move to another registrar. So they dont REALLY have to do it, its in their power to just let me transfer it, but they dont... its like they are fighting for justice or something... Anyone ever heard about something like that ?
Thanks for the advice, but i did that already, i emailed them, begged them to just let me move from them... no reply yet. No one know what can be done against that ? how can i get my domain back ?
Oh yes. Just that many people probably don't bother finding out about it. Unfortunately I doubt their sales team will help, given it's a suspension issue. Those things tread on legalities, so I'd look around their site for some kind of email or contact form to get in touch with their abuse team or similar. Otherwise, just contact their regular support and politely explain your issue in detail. They might reply back, though they're not obligated to depending on how severe they consider the issue to be and how they choose to approach it.
No one can give you any definitive advice unless you share the terms and conditions you agreed to when you set up your site.
I wish it was that easy, the main problem will be losing ALL the SEO work i did and losing the great ranking i have.
