I have been offered for someone to do full SEO on my forum and create a pro wordpress theme that will be bridged with my forum and he said it would take till friday to finish and to finish the SEO work 2 weeks.

    All in all for $1,000

    Is that to expensive?

If you were to pay that ammount, what should you expect be done for SEO??

He can create a pro wordpress theme within week but seo is not short or limit field. If he is doing in two week, this means he can write Meta Tags, Alt Tags and Title Tags optimize but can't do well in short time.

yes!!! this is expensive $1000 for two or three week seo.

I'll pay $300 - 500 monthly. On-page optimization and Off-Page optimization blog tasks are unlimited. Website need every month new update so keep continue seo for site.

I would think $1000 is probably too expensive too. Offpage seo is worth so much more than onpage seo. Spend that money on something better,

It really depends on how much time is being spent on the campaign... I prefer to quote clients in hours or at a daily rate... it is best that you ask for a breakdown of time spent/services. I always provide such a document so that my services are justified.

Its not really the cash per say. It is also likely that a bridge for your forum already exists.(food for thought)

My only issue is that it is fundamentally impossible to sort out rankings for a forum in that amount of time. On page stuff, sure... actual rankings, totally impossible to handle in two weeks.

    hope that helps,

"site is worth over 3 million dollars"

Ok, that is clearly a load of crap. The domain name, I am assuming, means nothing... at least in English.
It does have a pr4 which is good but it only has 300 or so members.

It is time to run away as fast as possible. That claim is utterly absurd.

    Valuation considering traffic**
    USD 4,400

and for reference, we are a bit more expensive but that 1000 dollars would get you at least a solid month of dedicated SEO and that could very well still not be sufficient for first page rankings for a forum.

If you want to pass along a link I can be specific as to what you require SEO wise. That said however, that guys claims are not even in the ballpark of realistic. Not even close.....

You can get a custom coded WP template pretty cheap in the services section as well.

that site is worth maybe 3,000$

as for your question on 1,000 for SEO, I think it's a good start but you'll want him to outline exactly what you are getting your grand as far as the SEO goes.
If your getting a good wordpress style and one for your forum to match as well as SEO work, you'll prolly not getting ripped off to bad if it's a totally custom style.

When getting someone to do SEO. Agree a price for getting your site to a certain postion in google.

$1,000 for on-page SEO is way too much, especially within 2 weeks. I could probably understand the $1,000 if it was for off-page SEO though.

i'll do for $500- as many pages as needed.. i know this isn't the market place, but $1000- way too much, i would research your niche for a few hours & then begin work, and deliver you targeted traffic, $1000 i think is to much. $500 i will give you 7 full days 8 hour days no piss farting around.. please if interested check what ive done with a 35 day old website.

please check the site in my sig for results ... that is what you call search engine optimization...

Offpage = you do the SEO on other sites for your domain.

Onpgae = you choose the right keywords for your site and add it to your site.

I think A blog and a forum dosent look good, you must choose one of them.

However you can make a blog about you, the administrator of forum.

wrong ! the deal was :
1= $200 for a full seo (( work gonna take up to 3 weeks )) then the other money when You Reach Your Goal : (( under 200.000 in alexa and pr4 )) means the work it s not just for 3 weeks but more !
2= the wordpress work + advert system (( costs $70 because it s not the free version in vb.org )) for free !
3= a custome style for his wordpress for free !!!
4= free support for his websites !

It depends on the results you can get doing this...if you reach your goals in a reasonable time...the only thing is that SEO is a process that has to be done frequently to make necessary corrections

ask also what is the wordpress theme that the guy will be using in your site. some wp themes are free some require licenses. if it is not free, make sure the guy has a license to install it in your site. it pays to ask.

    It's reasonably Good amount.
In SEO you should not look after what you are paying, it does matter that whom you are paying.
Review his portfolio before assigning him the job.
And i must say; in 2 weeks nothing can be done for SEO excluding onpage.

It depends on what kind of results they can get you. If they get you good results, then it may be worth it.
