Hi folks. I'd appreciate your help. I have a large database 612,000 kb. My host account only allows imports of 50,000 kb and under. I went to open up the sql database dump, but no programs could handle it. Does anyone have any assistance to offer? Rep and my thanks in return.

Assuming your assusing Mysql as your databse server and you are using something like phpmyadmin.

Altough I have not used it myself, maybe this can be of assistance.

Which in my humble opinion is the root cause of the problem, bigdump is good as a solution for the symptoms.
The best advice when one is looking for a hoster is to check for shell access, when you are already "married" with a specific hosting provider then bigdump is the second best thing :) Since you ussually can't just pack up and leave.

    Cheers,
