    Hello All,

    I am looking for an RSS feed URL (free) which provides Latest World News full story. Generally, Most of the RSS feed provides News title and short description of the news. Examples are Yahoo,BBC etc.

    In addition, I would be grateful if someone knows any rss trading url which provides free Stock quote data, foreign currency rates,Investement news etc.

    Thanks in advance.

    That's hard to find because the intention on RSS feeds is to bring visitors (and links) to their sites. If you insert the full stoy on your site nobody will visit that source site.

    Thanks for the information Willsy.
    I stumbled across this page after searching high and low for full RSS feeds. I'm just learning about RSS feeds and am trying to find some full feeds on popular topics so I can load them onto an electronic reader that doesn't have internet access. My goal is to synchronize in the morning and be able to browse stories throughout the day.
    I jumped to feedburner thinking that the full feed creation might be an option available through their tools but wasn't able to figure it out.
    Did you create the full feeds from the BBC News RSS feeds using feedburner or are the full feeds readily available?
    Is there some way feedburner (or something else) can 'create' a full RSS feed by extracting the entire story (is this the correct term?) for each of the headlines?

    Thanks.

    Just a heads up (and hopefully a motivator to start to resolving the issue), I noticed that the 'Health' feed isn't working for me. I tried putting into RSSOwl and it spit back an error. I even tried putting in that URL on feedburner (to check the validity), and it came back with a whole mess of errors.
    Has anybody else encountered this and/or found a way to fix this?
    Btw, thanks again to Willsy for posting those links. I've got the rest of them set up so I can just update them, aggregate the whole group and load it onto my eBook reader.

    UPDATE: This morning I tried updating all the feeds, and the 'Front Page' feed is now giving me an error (in RSSOwl). It looks like when they put in the 'pound' character it is messing something up...kind of a big problem since it's a british publication. Haven't checked the validity of it yet since I really don't know anything about RSS or XML, so I wouldn't understand the problems anyway.

    Hi there,

    Just stumbled across this today, I'm actually the one who put those feeds up there, they're not provided by the BBC, just by a screen scraping engine I wrote which runs on my webserver, it just reparses the original feeds and drops in the full content. The BBC are aware of it and appear to tolerate it!

    Let me know if your still having trouble with the feeds in RSSOwl, I have just rewritten the script so it should be better than it was before, it does validate but there are a couple of small issues, however they shouldnt prevent your reader interpreting the feed correctly.

    I've attached an OPML file containing all the feeds which are available via Feedburner at the moment, there are others processed by my server and I can add any that come off news.bbc.co.uk so just shout if you want them.

    Regards,

    DB

    Sorry for the late reply, yes in theory, unfortunatly it will need a new and probably more complicated scraping template as BBC Sport markup is different in many ways to the markup on the News site.

    Essentially the script needs to look for elements which are common to all the articles which can be used to decide the start and end extraction point. On the news site I currently use
    <!-- S BO -->
    Code (markup):
    and
    <!-- E BO -->
    Code (markup):
    which are unique markers at the start and end of content. These are used in several places on the sport pages but I will try and have a chance to look at it soon.

    Thank you so much, it would mean a lot if you could manage the BBC one.

    Unexpectedly wrong :) Recent studies have proved that full text RSS feeds actually generate higher CTRs to the target site than partial feeds. People are actually more likely to visit the target site after reading the full text feed article.

    Now, full text RSS feeds tend to disappear for copyright obvious reasons/anti-spam policies.
