Currently, I've been getting a good response for Yahoo! Answers and was considering trying wikianswers (dont know if it's the same concept). I've tried Orkut with no success - although I read the wikipedia on Orkut and realize that Brazil and India are not my target audience. I have a blog revolving around the stock market. How do I generate traffic from forums. How do I find the forums that are the best to post in. I know dont spam - post quality responses. I guess I just dont know which ones to start. I tried the traffic forum here and found out that half are scams and the offer half say you had 100 visits when google analytics say 10. Thanks, Thanks,
welcome to the club. try elitetrader.com....but that place is full of arrogant <insert bad word>....good luck.
Forums may bring you some immediate traffic. But It will forget you after a week!. I am not saying to post advertise in forums. But most importantly, you should leave your trackback in the sites/blogs that are related to you.It will give you traffic for years(But not immediate may be) and backlinks in related blog is most important to get PR ranking. Just search Google for your related blog. If you find a good site related to your niche, you may want to know where did they advertise their site. You can find out it easily by this site: http://www.backlinkwatch.com/index.php. Then it would be more easy for you to advertise your site in appropriate places.
How to create traffic from forums - ethically. Create your own forum. There are several free options aswell. Believe me a forum will get more trafic than a blog with the same domain and the same ammount of effort from the webmaster.
