I'm surprised your not getting bombarded with offers to buy ebooks.

To be honest.. I'm not a fan of eBooks. Yes, I have been marketed into buying a few myself. Generally, except for the professional eBook publishers, most will be compiled from information found elsewhere on the Internet and then re-worded.

You can do just as well by hanging out in forums and reading blogs from some of the best marketers in the business -- many of whom frequent this forum.

Just put in the effort and research for yourself. You will likely find 90% of the eBooks available to be "light reading" and without much information that will help you.

Why would someone who made millions on internet marketing want to sell you their secrets for $19.99?

If they are millionaires.. the reality is that is their secret. They made millions selling a eBook to people like you for $19.99.

There are still some good books out there. It's just a matter of trying to find them.

Ask the webmasters for free samples, tips from the e-book, because of your concerns. A legitimate one will do this.

For the life of me I don't know why they do not do this in their ste. Probably because all they have are just run of the mill tips.

Also do a search on the name of the book and the writer to see if any reviews have come up.

For example: John Reese sucks. John Reese is a rip off. Use descriptive words many may use.

Look into http://thelist.fm/advertising/index.html. Just for the free tips, if anything.

I am glad that nobody started selling your stuff, as we know that if you spend some time here, simply reading and networking with people, you'll learn a lot. Spending money is easier than making some;)

The 2 e-books I bought were "Who Loves Money" and "The Rich Jerk". If I were you, I'd just buy "The Rich Jerk" because it has provides a lot of good information on how to make money and it's only 10 bucks. The forum is also very helpful on the site.

The first rule of making online is never to buy ebooks. That's how the majority of the "make money online" people make their money.

As a marketer and advertiser who knows the reality out there, pfunk7, there are no "secrets."

It's basically all about word of mouth, advertising, with a few free methods thrown in.

And, uh, "rich jerk" is one of those books to avoid. He peddles the same crap that doesn't work and that has been repeated here time after time, like seo, signatures, blogs, facebook.....

That reminds me, also look into how many monthly hits these ''gurus" get. If they don't have that many, that should tell you something.

Keep your hopes up, don't quit.
